after going over records of some quests i figured out hazelmere is dead he predicts his own end in this battle in path of glouphrie he predicts 2 warriors will be left 1 representing a slayer and also says ull be wearing the robes of evil yet still follow guthix. *sigh* thats alot of typing lol

This version is slightly glitched; Hazelemeres hat should slower flutter down and rest on the pile of ashes, not just pop out of existance.

And Hazelmere is the only one who actually has ashes left.. maybe he didn't really die?

Yes. The slayer masters are replaced with new NPCs. Ghommel and Sloane the skill cape masters are also replaced. Only Cyrisus and Hazelmere have no replacements.

Btw, for those who wonder what hazelmere is holding it's an escape thing used in the path of glouphire quest, he uses it to save you, when he could have saved his own life. The reason he looks at it is because it was his last gift from a great gnome and it's now dead, and so is he.

And then later in the Chaosudoko from one year ago (a billboard with hidden clues in the postbag): "Mahjarrat gathers an army. He shall slay many masters."

The staff that Lucien is using is actually the Staff of Armadyl. The staff of Armadyl killed Zaros when Zamorak wielded it. Also When Zaros was defeated Zamorak gained Zaros's god like powers. Lucien now has this staff 0.0 (almost certain that the quest will be continued.)
