I really like this technique, but whenever I've tried waving with my flat iron, it always looks really kinky and instead of looking wavy it flips out really bizarre and I end up just getting frustrated or burning my hair, which led me think that my flat iron just wasn't designed for this look. I have a 1" Remington S9950 Shine Therapy with floating plates, could this be the problem?

@PhishFace09 You may be squeezing too hard on the iron. I used to have that problem A LOT!!! So try loosening your grip. I hope this helps love.
