It isn't the American accents its the fact that they clearly aren't trained actors and are indicating their emotions. They make every cliche choice in the book. I agree with milograamans. They don't know what they are saying or what the purpose of their speech is.

Oh dear...why are they killing Shakespeare??? The costumes are weird, and Shakespeare sounds rubbish in American accents...watching this I felt sorry for the audience...RSC all the way!!!

It felt like the actors were just reciting the text without actually thinking the meaning. A little disappointing. But the camerawork is good and sharp... of course YouTube won't play the low quality version when the HQ and HD are both available so I had to wait almost an hour to play it...
