This was a commercial that the boys in the Vienna Choir Boys made to promote the World Cup which was taking place in Vienna that year, I believe. The pianist is the school's director, Mr. Gerald Wirth who turned the school around from a tough decade and low morale......but some say the choir's has suffered under his tenure. Still the boys love him and he is a super friendly guy!

Well, one of the best things about being in the choir (and every boy will tell you that) is that, although in the group you are a star, once you are on your street clothes or, for that matter, when you leave the choir, you can go back to the pleasure and comfort of anonymity.
Your comment is a little bit niggling ! You should not say: "T h e V...". May be, that one or two performances "these days" don´t conform Your pretensions. There are many performances - and not only old ones - for high pretensions... on YT too....:).
I recommend "tag" Jankowitsch and also the WSK-website. Their is a guestbook too !

Music: Carl Orff - Carmina Burana, O Fortuna

Hahaha! If you look closely, at 0:55, you can see a group of boys in the background, at the top of the staircase, waiting for the cue to run down. :)

Fantastique ! Parfait !
