There is no story. Michael until the 2008 tour has always wore some kind of makeup. In 1995 it was eyeliner, in 1999 it was glitter and eye and ear shadow, in 2003 he put orange(for europe) blue (for america) stripes along his eyebrows. the next year the stripe got bigger and the makeup made its swan song.

@Fish141186 This is Madrid October 2003. R.E.M. did a short tour of Europe in June and July of 2003. Took a little break than played shows in America from August to October of 2003. Than they went back to Europe and played some small places for fanclub members and did more promotion for In Time.

@mikeockurts Michael is actually a very very healthy man. He sees his doctor on a regular basis. He has a hi metabolism which is why sometimes he looks thinner than usual. He's actually gained some weight since this video 7 years ago. He's also very strong despite his petite figure. I hope to god he lives to a very ancient man.
