Do you think you could do kind of a short guide. Because I want to play this game but I am having a tough time understanding the capturing and all that...yes you do explain things but if you could do a video centered on a guide. Thanks
@Cheopatius wow, late comment. u still hold a grudge after 3 weeks... impressive. i would take it seriously, but it took you THAT long to make a reply.

how many more countries does vae victis has, that the standard rome dont? i notised another barbarian cuntry in present romania and a large country above thylis, in present day bulgaria
"Carthage just isn't that interesting, historically..."
Are you serious? The Punic Wars weren't "interesting, historically"? Sure Rome was interesting, but Carthage spawned the general Hannibal, who ranged all over rome and won great battles at Tarentum and Cannae, only failing to defeat rome because of the dumbass Hasdrubal getting his army destroyed at Metaurus.
@ParadigmShiftr Thank you for supporting Carthage. You don't know how many people that know history completely hate Carthage because of their admiration towards Rome. At this point in time, if I knew how to work the dynamics of EU: Rome, I'd wipe Rome off the face of the map. Romans need to learn that Hannibal was the better general. Not Scipio Africanus the Elder
@toledotown He didnt have the troops or the equipment to do that his supplies were all looted and he only had mercs. The Romans would have fought to the end to hold roma against him. But play a Rome Total War mod called Roma Surrectum and play as Carthage and change that so Roma Victa (Roman Defeat)
@nuclearwhiteout i have and it was the most glorious day of my life, jk but it was kind of wierd playing a game that has rome in the title and rome is gone haha
@ParadigmShiftr thats his opinion stupid. u think that carthage is awesome, he think carthage is not that interesting. your not gonna have everyone agree with you, and your not always gonna be right, so deal with it. its called life.
@ParadigmShiftr you STATED carthage is awesome TWICE. you said "how is carthage not awesome?" and "carthage is awesome". when you went on about how carthage is the best. read your comment again.
@TheSecretSpartanDude I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say. Yes, I did indeed state that Carthage is awesome. The statement, by default, is an opinion. Do you need a refresher on the difference between "opinion" and "fact"?
@ParadigmShiftr your comment would've been easier to understand if you had just put " i think " in it.. " i think carthage is awesome." as simple as that. what, too much? All you had to do was put I think. YOUR COMMENT sounds like a statement. learn opinions and facts buddy.
@ParadigmShiftr im smarter than u dumbass. I know my setence is right because I'm smart. you however you need to go back to third grade. You think your a little know it a little know it don't you? nice comebacks you had there. I know you didn't learn them stupid.

The Pontifex Maximus is the high priest of the Roman religion. It had a great influence in the government in the Republic era, and was still an important function in the Empire era.
i never cared for EU: Rome's engine with the constant dealing with the ruling families and generals and such, but i'm definately in on watching your LP :]
Now to say it. My biggest reason to not be crazy about the game is the straitfoward path. You really have to follow a certain route through the game. Eu3, Vicky 2, Ftw!
First things first: get the strongest fleet in the world to be able to keep Carthaginian invasions away. AVC=Ab urbe condita or From the founding of the city, the city being rome. This was set in 753 BCE. 753-474=279BCE

So how's this compare with EU3:DW in depth/scope? It seems a bit simpler (not good in my eyes), but it does also seem interesting.
thebigJ1er 6 months ago
@thebigJ1er Its a bit simpler, but it has a unique family thing, and it takes place within the ancient era. If your a fan of parodox games, buy it.

The year 474 means 474years from the founding of rome. Romans counted with these years.
