I have a theory to this so called 'Dante'. It isn't actually Dante, but some how, either brainwashed or otherwise he thinks he is Dante. But in reality he is just another demon or maybe another desendent of Sparda. Who knows. The gameplay videos do look really good though.

I never noticed until I watched this video now. At the beginning when it's flashing from Dante in the torture room to him 1st fighting the whatever they are. His hair does go completely white. I'm surprised Nate and Mark didn't point that out since a major part of the hate is because of Dante's new look.
Ninja Theory is focusing too much on the inspiration of DmC and not the consistency. Not everyone in the fanbase likes devil may cry because its based on what is cool relevant to the era it came out in. We like it simply because we did.

So we saw him being questioned for his name and after a long hesitant state he replies Dante, what if ( and this just some ideas) some group is trying recreate Dante kinda like what they did with Virgil in devil may cry 3 and the whole reboot thing is just a joke to scare us and then thrill us when late in the game the real Dante comes.?

When DMC 4 was about to be released people were mad too because they thought Nero was Dante and they hated how he looked then, they found out it's not Dante, but he will be playable in the game. NT are good with story but suck at gameplay even though the second trailer is WIP its no excuse of how poor the presentation was. Gameplay looks more like Bayonetta, HS, Enslaved, and bits and pieces of DMC4. All they did was copy from other games to incorporate in their game.

See this tends to be the classic problem when things try to become modernized. Anyone that tries it usually screws it up. Modernizing games/movies/TV shows is what usually causes their downfall. If they were going to modernize the reboot, just leave the usual look/attitude of Dante. The voice could be changed for a younger version. What I liked about Dante was his attitude, the way he was so cocky, arrogant, and cool. They could change the story, but why change what was such a great personality.

Even though this is a re-boot why can't anybod stop talking about it as if it were connected to the other games? but this game looks really cool to me. i think ur going to have more freedom with the enviroment around you, giving it more atmosphere. i think its going to be a bit more open world, and i dont have a problem(kinda) with the way he looks. i reckon dante has that transforming sword because (if u think about it, dante is a weapon master like his father) The rebellion isn't used because its probably because his mum says something like this was ur fathers sword blah blah. who knows the rebellion could be in the game.
Alright here is my therory. Dante is in his late teens, early 20's which as you can see he looks like a teenage trouble maker. Dante( being a half breed) will not die of age but can be murdered. So dante on this game could be 65 years old, but has the looks of a teen. Plus dante never uses one sword he uses all his swords and weapons to effectively take out his targets. So the black hair is probably temporary through the game, so ninja therory make this game a total kick ass game.

@KishinxGurrenx87 Think about it this way. Check the companies background. Capcom use to make good games until now. NT are good with story but suck at gameplay even though the second trailer is WIP its no excuse of how poor the presentation was. Gameplay looks more like Bayonetta, HS, Enslaved, and bits and pieces of DMC4. All they did was copy from other games to incorporate in their game.

See this tends to be the classic problem when things try to become modernized. Anyone that tries it usually screws it up. Modernizing games/movies/TV shows is what usually causes their downfall. If they were going to modernize the reboot, just leave the usual look/attitude of Dante. The voice could be changed for a younger version. What I liked about Dante was his attitude, the way he was so cocky, arrogant, and cool. They could change the story, but why change what was such a great personality.

Even though this is a re-boot why can't anybod stop talking about it as if it were connected to the other games? Seriously this game is starting fresh and is not in continuity with the other games yet why does everybody keep talking like it is? I know plenty of people that think it takes place before DMC3, it's a good analogy for the game but that doesn't mean it acutally does take place before DMC3!

Its already been confirmed that this is a Prequal -_- why people are still angsting over this, I have no idea. But this ISNT a reboot, its a sequal taking us back even further to Dante's more delinquent years before he starts developing his white hair and demon status. I don't care what the retarded fanbase thinks, Im giving this game a chance, if my thoughts are true then we may be wrong about this game, who knows.

but this game looks really cool to me. i think ur going to have more freedom with the enviroment around you, giving it more atmosphere. i think its going to be a bit more open world, and i dont have a problem(kinda) with the way he looks. I think there going to incorporate wall running, enemy hopping etc. to the fight as well

Alright here is my therory. Dante is in his late teens, early 20's which as you can see he looks like a teenage trouble maker. Dante( being a half breed) will not die of age but can be murdered. So dante on this game could be 65 years old, but has the looks of a teen. Plus dante never uses one sword he uses all his swords and weapons to effectively take out his targets. So the black hair is probably temporary through the game, so ninja therory make this game a total kick ass game.

its a younger version of Dante we understand that.and yes he has Black Hair but my guess is he probably dyed it since he wants to fit in with the kids his age..but if you notice in the trailer..at the top of his head you can see white hair growing out...
and also why did they give him another weapon..he supposed to have Rebellion..that sword was a gift to him from his father Sparta and but NOW they give him an octopus sword -___-
