  • actually gentleman this is in fact a c1. when our boys wanna train on the c2 before a deployment they go in germany. We dont have any c2 yet on active duty in canada. they are either in a depot or in the firld somewhere in the world. i can truely assure u that this is a c1 in this video.

  • Was für eine Show! ;-) - What a nonsense!

  • I don't even know why Canada is in Afghanistan. We arn't a militaristic country. We have no reason to be in Afghanistan, personally...I don't want to help fight a British & American war.

  • It isn't a 'British and American' war, it is a NATO foreign aid mission to help keep the real Afghan government on its feet. And if you don't think we aren't a 'militaristic' country, look at our WWI and WWII history.

  • They're being deployed to Afghanistan as well. Won't be so easy for taliban to hide behind walls now.

  • Also, the Canadian government will once again be upgraded the tanks again since the military budget has increased by 6 times what it use to be.

  • Awesome video...and yes that is a good background

  • Canadian upgraded the tanks to C2 in 2000, what are you smoking?

  • This I heard from a guy who is an officer in the Canadian army. He would know more than I do. Thus I took it at his word. I wouldnt see a problem with this being 6+ years old which if you say is right and what I have heard is right, would be likely.

  • More like 40 years old, but with later upgrades.

You Canadians are just now getting the newer leopard 2A6M's though, and they're awesome.

  • Also the only two English speaking countries that I know of that use Leopards are Canada and Australia. And they both use versions of the Leopard 1 (the Canadians use the C1 and the Ausis use/used the AS1).

  • No, that is a Leopard 1, you can tell by the chassis and turret. Also a little birdie in the Canadian army told me that it was a C1 and he was at the exercise that the video was taken. Also based on his statement there are many Canadians who have that shot of the tank in the air and shooting on their backgrounds for their computers, etc.

  • this is a leopord 2, leopords 1 are pretty much M60s

  • its a leo1 turret
