okay, 1, you are gorgeous, and 2 I just recently started wanting dreads but I'm worried since I have thin hair it won't look good and I do not want to have to shave my head so it was a relief to see someone defied that rule. thanks for uploading the video!!

if you are white you can brush your dreads out, because most black people have to cut their hair off.

@bubbly227 thats actually not true. Most black people can also brush them out but it takes a really long time(a week) so most don't attempt to do it. Most don't even know its possible to! I have a friend who was locked for 8 years and ended up combing them out. She is a black. Brushing out white people hair is a lot easier because their hair is not as textured

when i got rid of my dreads,ony had them for 3-4 months ore so but directly after i got them al out my hair looked like the manes of a lion lol they where abit greesie from the spots where shampoo couldnt get to but after a shower it was fine again,shouldve audishioned for madagasker right after :)

Thanks for posting this, I've got dreads a little less than a year old, but a lot of them have congo'd really close to my head, sorta like I have a dreadcap, and I've been considering cutting my hair super short to get them out. You gave me new hope! If you can get them out after almost four years, I can sure as hell get less than a year ones out. <3

"FACE" and left hand says "C#%T". Coz that's where each fist goes. I guess some people find that offensive but dang if that's offensive to a chick they would be running from my bedroom after 10 mins anyway. And that's my light hearted side coz I have a weird sense of humour. Anyway seems a few people have had success with brushing out dreads, that's good news.

@dreadshangin thats bullshit lol. I have had my "real" dreads for over 5 years and I was able to take one apart last night. Hair type does play a role though because kinky hair is harder to untangle and straight hair likes to slip out easier. A lot of people just cut them off too because their hair is just too damaged and breaks away as they try to uncomb them. A knot is a knot. Any knot could be undone.

the only time when you would have to cut REAL dreadlocks is when you have a certain hair type...real dreads dont have a "comb/brush out" method. therefore, you never essentially had dreads, hun.

@xUndeadKittyx I had mine in for about a year before I brushed mine out, and I have to admit that it did feel thinner than how it was before (My hair is fairly thick). But after having them out of the locks and stuff and conditioning it and all that jazz, it started to thicken back up to the way it was. It'll go back, but it has to get used to being out again just like it gets used to being in dreads. But for some reason the back is like completely straight now O_o
