Anyone know the rules of videotaping while being an infaltry in Afghanistan. wheather it be combat or just around the base/ outpost. I've been thinkin about investing in a laptop before school of infaltry and possibly a GoPro HD cam.

(also do these rules change depending on your MOS like recon or somthing.)

(i imagine there must be some restrictions cause of reflection off lenses and waht not.)

Many 0311 Marines say it's pure bordom.. BUT, if you just look around, and realize where you are and get the 'fucking desert' out of your head for a while, your somewhere were you'd never be if it weren't for this war, you see so many things other people don't get to see, you get to interact with the locals (Combat not included lol) Probably the biggest nightmare of every Marine, being on deployment with a jackass that sees only negativity.. Ive seen some of them damaged like that but the dirt still stays caked in there because there is a metal screen that provides the strength and the canvas just keeps the dirt from spilling or washing out. You cant tip a section over because its interlocked with the other sections through that metal screen. Even if it werent it would be like trying to tip a skid of concrete bags over lol. Fuck if I know what the tool is for...remfs take them out back at the main bases anyway.

Its a perimeter wall called Hesco wall. It comes flat and is realatively easy to ship, you stand it on end and open it up like an accordion. Then it gets filled with dirt and if you got it on the upper level you put c-wire on top(razor wire). As easy as it is to climb to the top inside, its probably as easy to do outside, but it stops vehicle borne bombs(vbieds) and would slow down a ground assault like a moat would. If youre lucky you get a folding razor knife/tool out of the hesco pack
