  • 1:42-1:57 ok, THAT made me cry.

  • did Barry Manilow get a gig for this doco acting as their brother?

  • "I was snorting up Peru, practically".

    Ha ! Brilliant line !

  • this makes me love lorna even more

  • liza is such a sweet warm humbling person!

  • actually I've become somewhat more of a boozer and my addiction to pills has increased. However I am a functioning drug addict.

  • He says Lorna went away from drugs and she looks shocked and tries to stop him.

  • Liza has her father's Eyes

  • Lorna is an "OK" entertainer but she just doesn't have that magnetic voice or personality the way Judy Garland had and still has. The 2nd part of this documentary Lorna again gets her facts wrong by saying That Judy sung "Lorna" during her 1962 TV special but it was actually in early 1964 when Judy put the words to the theme to her TV show to get the song "Lorna". Her movie about Judy in 2001 wasn't veyr accurate. Sid Luft even said most of it were lies. Which I believe is true.

  • @NFitalianGuy I'd heard that Liza and Lorna stopped speaking over a fallout they had regarding the Judy Garland--Me and My Shadows minseries. I don't know if that's true.

  • @lcowles When I met Lorna, Sid & Joe in 1997 at the Judy fest in GR,MN.,she was writing her book at the time.I asked how Liza was & she wasn't too warm about that subject .Liza like Sid, weren't too keen on what Lorna wrote. Sid Luft himself said his daughter's book was filled with lies & she was only 15 at the time & she didnt know much of what went on in judy'slife. Liza was around more than Lorna but in the movie Liza was hardly shown. Sid corrected Lorna in public when lorna made up a story.

  • this is so sad...i feel like im gonna cry :( R.I.P Judy Garland

  • 6:40 She wasn't really a tragic figure-more accurately, she was just a plain sad one. It probably isn't far off the mark that if Betty Ford opened about fifteen years earlier than it did , she'd be alive today.

  • Its nice to hear Liza and Lorna are doing good these days. Its amazing how they have overcome there mothers addiction and death. They are both very strong women. Judy Garland was an amazing person and I wish I was could turn back time and get to see her live on stage that would be awsome.

  • I think that when Liza was in new york new york she looks just like her mum when her mum was in her early 20's when liza is singing "and the world goes round", but you can definately see vincent minnelli in Liza aswell :) xx

  • The first time I ever heard Judy's actual speaking voice I said, " She would be fun to party with!" She seems like the funniest, warm person.

  • Awwwww thats soooo sweet its a rainbow for your grandmother. <3

  • Judy and Michael were tragic. Anyone who is so lost and confused that they don't know which end is up, and anyone who is SO talented, beautiful, loved and has 3 beautiful children to live for but still cannot get off of drugs is tragic. Talented, beautiful, but tragic.

  • liza is the imagine of judy, when judy is in her fourties

  • People saying that her life was tragic reminds me so much of what they say of Michael Jackson. We all really do not know these public figures. Only their chldren and family and friends know their true selves. Judy wasn't tragic. And Michael wasn't tragic.

  • "never rich, just poor"

    HHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Judy was wonderful.

  • I adore Lorna's brazen attitude, at least she admits what she done and hell she admits she loved it...You hardly find that in "famous" children...I love Lorna, she's truly unique, and I also think that Liza admits it.. just not so forwardly...You HAVE to respect these lovely ladies for being themselves =)

  • I've always wondered why the flag for gay pride was rainbow colors. That's so sweet. :)

  • i know that's their mom and all but it is quite TRAGIC for anybody to die at 47 of an accidental overdose. what else would u call it?

  • i think they are saying her life was not tragic, although short. a person can go through bad things in life but doesn't mean they are just sad tragic feeling people.

  • @saphiredewdrop now, i can get with that. makes perfect sense. thanks :)

  • @uncoverbrother , you're welcome. :)

  • @uncoverbrother You just answered your question....it was an accident!!!!....it was a freak accident!!!....by 1969 she was in a happy place in her life, she had no reason to become a TRAGIC FIGURE Or a TRAGEDY as so many people suggest!!!

  • honey, it's a rainbow for your grandmother."

That's raw and honest and truer than true.

I am not a crying man, but, frankly, get me a freakin' hankie.

  • judy seemed funny and warm yes, but to say that she lacked an aura of tragedy or at least sadness is a bit of generational denial to me. she clearly experienced turmoil regardless of whether the emotions triggered the drugs or the other way around.

  • This is a wonderful interview with Liza and Lorna. I'm a huge fan and never saw this before. Thank you for posting it.

  • What happened to their brother? Is he in the show biz?

  • No. He's a photographer

  • Some of that funeral was Marilyn Monroes. Genius investagators/

  • seriously?!

  • Judy was honest you can see that

  • nothing like honest people who tell the truth.she said that she like the drugs. what a step forward.

  • Judy Garland and Jack Cassidy both had such talent and truely loved what they did. I hope they are never ever forgotten. They both live in my life and heart.

  • Actually watching these interviews has given me the strength to try and stop my addiction. Thanks for the post:)

  • @damone77 If you don't mind me asking.. what is your addiction? I am an RN and too have experienced problems with addiction...

  • @scootertp3 Hi scootertp. Sorry for the delay but I'm practically not even going on you tube anyjmore cuz of my job lol. My addiction is to klonopin. I have good news though. I've gone from 4 milligrams a day to 2 milligrams a day.

  • @damone77 how did it go? drug or drink free?

  • Judy was so beautiful.

  • i was wondering what that footage was it

must be a mistake. certainly not judy's

  • i can't believe these r judy garlands daughters. to me judy will always be dorerthy R.I.P beautiful woman xxx

  • Very interesting - 1 thing i noticed was the funeral footage - some of it was from Marilyn Monroes funeral in 1962 where the people were walking into that chapel and standing outside the cemetary. wonder why this was included in Judys footage?.

  • I was wondering the same thing.I only know that Over the rainbow was also played at MM funeral.

  • the song that was played and sang at Judy's funeral was Battle Hymn of the Republic. Judy sang it for President Kennedy on her TV show when he was killed and she left instructions for Liza for it to be played and sang at the end of her funeral.

  • Thanks!

  • I think Barry Manilow really summed up Judy well at the end there. I couldn't agree more with what he said.

  • "it's a rainbow for your grandmother"...now that is a lovely thing for her to say

  • Thanks for posting this. It's great stuff!!

  • aw thank you for this <3<3 xx

  • thanks so much again-wonderful
