Another way to train mage is to fire bolt steel dragons so you make money and can use the bones for pray its just really slow

Is there any reason for needing to complete Defender Of Varrock? Because I was thinking of doing all the quests apart from that one and then tarining def for the last 10k xp. Defender of Varrock has too many skill requirements. Please tell me if this is a fatal error. As far as i'm aware it's not though, because Defender of Varrock is a useless quest.

@killiabi70 If you want to be a turmoil pure, 30def, rune pure, 40def, or void pure, 42 def, and all of these with best possible items, you have failed the account. As lockeedgt said, you can still probably be a 45 (zerker pure) with no problems. JUST DON'T TRAIN DEF until barrow gloves/hand cannon/vengeance/turmoil and some other things I probably have missed. Study the quests, or accept that you wont be the best possible. Good luck.

This is because in order to get all the best abilities like using hand cannons/ barrow gloves/ vengeance/turmoil and such, you must complete a bunch of quests to use them. The quests which you MUST complete to use these abilities reward you with defence experience which you cant avoid. This alone is enough experience to get you about 42 defence. If you already trained defence, then you couldbe over 42, and possibly a failed pure.

@TheRSCoalition I would agree that WoW takes much more skill to play but then you have to think about the prices for being able to play, you can by 3 times as much membership in RuneSCape then in WoW and that is another very popular reason why people play RuneScape besides it being addictive, I find the game Guild Wars to be a very good MMoRPG due to it being a "One time fee" online gaming.

Seeing as you can play PvP PvE but there are no skilling or hobbies like Mining etc, but alot of gameplay.

zerker helm is DEFINATLY worth the 80k. it gives like 2 str bonus. People will pay 3-4m for a berserker ring or firecape (supplies) for 4 str bonus. so 80k for 2str bonus is good.
