  • I have an old sled (1930s) and it probably hasn't been cleaned since it last hit the slopes decades ago. This video was helpful in that it helped confirm what I suspected. Good ol' water with a little soap.

  • im third generation antique refinisher. .. pledge bad.. def gives a nasty wax build up. we use guardsman CREAM polish. we mix it with water. and every piece that comes through our shop is waxed. but.. some pieces.. such as old chairs with oil finish... body oils will gum up the finish. so dont rub to hard!

  • Pledge is horrible to use on furniture! Can't believe you said it is a good product for furniture! I've restored and refinished for over 20 years and see Pledge only as a liability. Use a good paste wax to protect your finishes...that's all...and just dust and buff it occasionally.
