  • this aint just no andre 3000...this dre!

  • are andre 3000 and big boi talking to me?

  • Hip hop definitely isnt like this anymore! Love Outkast!

  • This song changed my life, I actually started working after I listened to this song, and aint stopped yet. lol

  • ceelo was smashing mc's!!!!!! andre 3000 is the best left

  • You know you can tell by the way Andre dresses now compared to the way he does in this video that he found himself his style changed SO MUCH.

  • HOW DARE YOU EDIT OUT CEE-LO'S FIRST VERSE! ITS THE BEST ON THE SONG!

  • All of the people who grew up in the 90's... Ur OFFICIALLY lucky bastards... How could u take this for granted? I would KILL to grow up back then.

  • @JocelynConacada Yep, born in 1976. Grew up in both 80's and 90's. I feel sorry on a regular basis for the kids, now. The stuff they listen to, the things they see. I still like rap but most of it is trash. It's sad.

  • Love this! And since I live in Atlanta , I love seeing the braves cap!

  • 2:49 Cee-lo what was that? Lol

  • I'm from NYC and my Southernplayalistic tape had ALL the text worn off within a few months of it coming it. I was rolling the tape back together with a pencil in my '89 Accord every time my bullshit stereo tried to eat it. That tape (I will always call it a tape) remains one of the best albums of all time, that and Soul Food. Anyone who didn't like that was a sucker and probably still is.

  • Celo is so different now ... i hate it :(

  • y doesn't this have a million views?

  • Stfu stop being a hater and just listento the song

  • Classic whatever u wanna call it hip hop or whatever

  • Been listening to Outkast since they came out -I was 11. One of the few musical acts in hip hop where you can actually hear the progression in their music with each album. Proud to say I'm still an admirer.

  • Oh shit! That's Cee-Lo Green right?! :O

  • @PaliForever14 Cee Lo has been in the game for nearly 20 years now.

  • I like the more rap based Outkast better than the pop Outkast

  • See this that real shit! They even replace the curse words for the radio instead of leaving a bunch of bleeps throughout they verse.

  • I remember this cut. I'm not from the south nor am I black. This cut hit me like a ton of bricks though. My older brother and I working demolition under the table pay at 13. Going broke wasn't an option cuz momma sold the food stamps and got drunk. It gave some of us little ghetto ass Native Americans some inspiration to git up n git out. Musical genius type cut. Even for a N side MPLS Native American a simple cut can change a life... much respect for outkast...

  • @Animikiiasin much respect!

  • classic!

  • I find it pretty cool that the A$AP movement is inspired by them.. ht tp://bit .ly/rxW72S

  • @AndreRedd1Empire So am I! I was just asking. Ok so it's a yes or no not an explanation...

    Thank you , Just saying.

  • is that gnarl barkley

  • @MrMadlion24 Nah. It's Cee-Lo Green. Gnarls Barkley is a duo and Cee-Lo is a member. He's part of Goodie Mob. Goodie Mob and Outkast are part of the Dungeon Family.

  • This song is hard talking about the real shit not like today's GARBAGE MUSIC

  • classic outkast

  • The Long Version is Much Better--Real Talk tho This Song Changed a Nigga Point of View and Changed My Life

  • thumbs up if you from ATL and this is how you want your city represented not that ignorant wocka flocka bull shit

  • @AllstarKing713 Iam not from the ATL but umm i wish this was how Hip Hop was represented not the wiz qeefa lil gayne and that fake stealing fat ass rick ross bull shit

  • @AllstarKing713 i aint from atl but i definitley cant stand no wocka flocka bullshit...outkast is og shit and always good to hear

  • @AllstarKing713 Real recognize real, no need to worry

  • @AllstarKing713 hell i'm not even from georgia and this is how i would want to be represented.

  • @AllstarKing713 nice, it's refreshing to see not all brothers are down with the clownish self degrading southern rap.

  • @mike7743 i ain at all bruh!, if i ever make enough money to pay for studio time and engineering ima be atleast part of the reason songs like this will come back one day. real down south hip hop

  • @AllstarKing713 word bruh, we need good music that uplifts our community and us back.

  • Players Ball video.. Where at??

  • Timeless classic once again. If ya`ll get a chance will yall give my channel a look. Got some good content on there n its only gonna grow. Thanks in advance tryna become da next southern legend is hard!

  • I wanted to get up, get out n do something, But i choose to get high n Fly :D

  • Ok so I never saw the vid, but I do own Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.. WTF HAPPENED TO THE FIRST VERSE BY C-LO?! This makes me a sad panda :(

  • @NarainVS you are right! c-lo's verse went really deep

  • big boi a G dont forget that shit just like 3000

  • yall need to slow down with all the arguments and listen to the songs . . yall got a computer with internet put in some job applications , go take the bus to a staffing place , , GIT UP GIT OUT AND GIT SOMETHIN !

  • @DjPRINCEgetem trill shit..missin the whole point of the muzik .. #lethalgrind25/8

  • @DjPRINCEgetem workin a job is cool for short term money, but notice they didn't show people applyin for jobs in the video... they showed black business owners. thats the point and the goal.

  • @pjds1989 yeah but shit . . anything is better than sittin around bullshittin

  • @DjPRINCEgetem to a degree... Some people would rather be unemployed than stuck with a bullshit, dead end job. but it depends on the person, and what they're doing to make their own money, or get in a position to make their own money, if they don't want to work for someone else. besides, the more work history you got, the harder it gets to fill out applications. but yeah, you gotta work to get that business goin.

  • @pjds1989 exactly / if u aint baggin bud or work you better go get you a dayjob , sell you some food stamps . .do somethin . . i refuse to be broke

  • WOW,, a couple of years ago Celo used be just another dude from the ATL...look at him now!! If he can do it, I can do it too..thanks C.

  • These songs had metaphors that the dumb kids nowadays wouldn't be able to pick up. I miss hip hop.

  • This song motivates me

  • Oh my Gosh! Cee-Lo before he got BIG (literally)

  • This is way back when Cee Lo wasnt prego...

  • That was raw as fuck.

  • I wish someone could upload the Goodie Mob version.

  • I am an O U T KAST! So get up off yo' ass!

    I LOVE THAT SHIT!

  • CLASSIC!

    -b.kat1

  • Dungeon Fam was the Wu Tang of the South

  • AT AGE 13 START WORKIN AT THE LOADING DOCK!!!

  • I missed when the song used to sound good but the MESSAGE was within the song so you danced but you still LEARNED something while the song playing. Music today sometimes is DEAD within the song itself.

  • Now this is some good shit!!!!!

  • Wow this is an amazing track! .. If you wanna hear more good hip-hop click on my name and check me out! ..I'm a true conscious rapper, you all should like my new track "Black Cream" - Hasani Banks

  • omgsh....MEMORIES!!!!! Proud 2ew be a 90's baby.

  • Damn Cee Lo was slim (compared to now)

  • Mob*

  • @ZEHPHONE Omg! Did you even think to go read Wikipedia or something before you commented. What a dumbass. Goodie Maab and OutKast like a billion songs together. You need to get up get out and educate somethin!

  • @joshdoesvideo Thats because they all used to be one unit aka Dungeon Family

  • @AndreRedd1Empire agreed this is some true GA born ish right here

  • southern g funk

  • They took out Cee Lo's verse wtf?!

  • Anyone know more songs that give you motivation as this song do?

  • @clifforderasmus rise and shine by big K.R.I.T.

  • the old atl yeah good ol' days

  • CeeLo should have been apart of Outkast

  • @trebingbing904 Just check out the whole Dungeon Family and then your statement will make more sense as they all worked together on lots of songs.

  • dang this use 2 be my song!

  • Cee lo's verse was the hardest, realest most true to life ever spit. Not taking anything from Big Boi and Dre, but tthe song lost some impact with that intro missing from the lady killer

  • I wonder why they cut out Cee Lo's verse in the beginning for the video, i liked it.

  • Andre 3000= Swag!!

  • 23 people need to git up and git out!

  • Love this song perfect wake up/reality check track!

  • nope they were called the misfits before they were named outkast

  • damn am my da only one who seen how thick dat bitch wuz @ 2,59 damn ill put in some work on dat

  • 1994; The Year I Was Born!

  • ANDRE 3000 WAS HARD AS HELL... THIS IS WHAT HIP HOP IS MISSEN TODAY ....I LIKES HIS SWAG BETTER BACK THEN...

  • @MADAWM1 So True...

  • @MADAWM1

Dude stop with the "back then" shit. Your obv reffering to the the radio and media, you need to dig deeper smh.

  • Cee-Lo is in this vid :D

  • @toneyman69 lol

  • @toneyman69 Haha in the actual song the first verse is his

  • what year is this?

  • how come this is a different version compared to the one on album?

  • is that luda 2 43

  • @dopeboy444999 - Nope, its Big Gipp from Goodie Mob. Cee-Lo was also a member of Goodie Mob then :P Or...he still is, they do still exist. If u like "life changing" songs like this then check out the Dungeon Family album "Even in Darkness" which is awesome. Dungeon Family is a collective which contains Organized Noize (the producers) and Goodie Mob + Outkast and others.

  • It's Big Gipp from Goodie Mob.

  • Damn.... OutKast at their finest. I miss this real hip-hop !

  • the original song is like almost 8 min long ..... wtf ... they took like 3 an half min out of the original song

  • Cee lo had the best verse!

  • Damn They Cut The Best Verse Out Cee Lo Smashed This Shit

  • Cee lo is there.

hes just sninny...lol Green Bay sweater

  • lol seeing all these life changing comments, ull never see that on fake hip hop or new rap

  • where is cee lo

  • Life Changing for me.

  • CEE LOOOOO!!!! boys a beast

  • when u really look at it really is true

  • why they cut ceelo out!?

  • @lilcoconut1 they didn't cut Cee Lo he was part of goodie mob not part of outkast... goodie mob and outkast were on the same label so they did a lot of collaborations. If you wanna check all of Cee Lo's classic stuff just check for Goodie Mobs albums... he is all over those.

  • outkast= best souther rap ever period.

  • This song is the definition of inspiration....i dont see how this song cant change a mans perception of life...especially cee-lo's verse....he was preachin!

  • words to live by!

  • My first memory of Cee Lo this song, Thank god OutKast graduated out of that East Coast swagger rap to the Rappers they are today!

  • fck Bruno Mars, this is the true Lazy Song (y)

  • Best rap duo ever i mean you never hear about outkast braking up or having money problems the always stick together the do their own solo shit an still come back to do outkast albums

  • @89TwinnKilla you're right

  • still one of da best hip hop albums of all time

  • sucks they cut cee lo's verse

  • @toddbolden yeah i hated that they did that shit

  • damn they was young

  • This song makes me want to change the way i'm living..

  • But that don't matter doe.

I am an OH, YOU, TEE KAST, so get up off yo' ass.

  • dam i can really relate to the dudes in the video lol

  • ATL

  • remember when hip hop was real and not about bull shit? remember when it meant something?

it still does but that shit will never grace your ears from through the radio waves.

  • @PinkFloydrulez

yeah i feel you lyrics were mos def powerful back then

but there were a lot of bs talk that was happening back then aswell

  • @TheBudaLord yeah, but for every song that was BS, there was something like this...AND THEY BOTH GOT AIRPLAY!!!!! i remember when the song "cell therapy" was #1 on Hot 97 for like 8 weeks!!! a song with the lyrical content of "cell therapy" would NEVER be 31 on ANY radio station these days! #shame

  • *Sigh* I love music that has originality and it's own unique style that makes it a classic, which was what Hip-hop back in the days was. Here we go further into the self supposed "future of music" and it sounds like some pop shit, males wearin' skinny colorful stuff and dyin' their damn hair like females, music now is about sex and money, and it's full of fakes. Hate to be the one to drop it, but Hip-Hop will never be like this again.

  • i nver knew that cee lo green was in this

  • @MrMArkell96

he even raps in this song in the album version

  • @MrMArkell96 This is before your time kid.

  • outkast, goodie mobb 8 ball & MJG >>>>>tha original dirty south!!....

  • @nmt84

i always liked dirty south hip hop

until it turned to what it is now and days

well all hip hop evolved into something dumb

but the new gets old, and then the old gets new

  • @nmt84 Scarface

  • @nmt84 Can't forget Geto Boys who started it. They dropped in 1988, but with the members we know in 1990. 21 years strong and still going is something. Also can't forget UGK who hit the scene in 1988.

So Geto Boys and UGK are also the original dirty south. Although he was as prominent then, Devin also hit the scene in 93 with Odd Squad. Classic Material

  • @CALICOTV301 yea i guess u can say that..I mean its all southern..UGK and the Geto boys was my shit way back then..but to me tha dirty south sound was an ATL thing..I always seen texas rappers in a diffrent light cuz it was lyrical, samething wit florida when 2 live crew dropped in 89 wit tha miami bass sound..I came up in NY and I remember back then it was east and west, everything else was taken lighly.. in present day tho tha souths pretty solidified, so u can say its all dirty my nigga...

  • @nmt84 Ahhh, you're right. I know what you mean. Much respect for recognizing the true pioneers of it all for sure! Peace

  • @CALICOTV301 Also you left out 8 ball in MJG who held it down in 1991, 1992, 1993 their first 3 albums were the hardest rap music out of Tennessee that I ever heard as a young teenager. Then OutKast and Dungeon Family who includes Goodie Mob hit the seen in 1993. Blew the lid off Southern Rap Scene. South got something to say. (OutKast line at the Source Awards when the North booed them). Biggest Mistake Ever.

  • This song change my life!

  • @erb0825 well you still don't know how to spell... but good to hear !

  • @erb0825 i wish it would change my lil bros, i played dis shit for his lazy!

  • it's funny that there are people on this earth who think that andre 3 stacks only sings.

  • 20 people need to git up get out and get somethin.....smh

  • Ironically, this song is good to get high to..

  • @mrwalker107 i think the point is that theres nothing to get up and go get. you need to get up get out and get something is the inner thought of every weed smoker who doesnt do much with their life because they feel everything is pointless. its more of an anthem of doing whatever the fuck you feel like doing in my opinion. thats how i always felt about it anyway.

  • LA and Atlanta are like symetric twins. Literaly and figurativily lol.

  • lol dawg look at the young Cee Lo

  • sux tha goodie mob versus' didnt make it to the video

  • when i was in jail this song was our gretest hit,,me puerto rican phil n sp#k nik used to do this,,

  • damn even in 94'

    OUTKAST WAS TEARING SHIT UP!!!!!!
