  • oh, so Muttonheads sampled this tune for I'll Be There, i see

  • Painted sisters!

  • This is one (one of many) of my all time favorite songs by The Pointer Sisters!! LOVE IT. I wanted to share my lip sync video of it with you. :)

  • Will someone PLEASE put a good version of this video? You know one that doesn't stop abruptly at the end?

  • My favorite Pointer Sisters song ever. :)

  • thar is not khandi alexander

  • It's on the "Contact" album.

  • where i can get this track on mp3 ? please help

  • excellent !

  • costumes camp dancing majestic love love

  • My favorite Pointer video...Dang! They are hot in this one!!!!

  • June looks the best here with the best figure - fact.

  • was that kandi alexder dancing

  • I'm not sure, It does look like her though. Plus she is a dancer, too!

  • @clintonmusiclover Yes That is Khandi Alexander dancing. Good eye!

  • we lived in papua new guinea when this song came out. That summer in port moresby was one of the best! Very talented singers. RIP June

  • Dedicating this one to my father, Allen, who just passed away. He loved the Pointer sisters so much, especially this song. We played this VHS tape so much back in the last 80's that we wore it out. I love you, Daddy.

  • Have you noticed that Ruth Pointer's shoulder pads almost knocked Anita off-balance at 3:23...I bet those shoulder pads were like weapons against those two. Still, it's an awesome video.

  • Lmao that was a good one ;)

  • just realized the pointer sisters are not in the rock and roll hall of fame........absolutely unconscionable........they should change their name to the rock and roll hall of bullshit! they have left so many out that should be in there and they have put so many in that shouldn't be there.........somebody should start a new, legitimate rock and roll hall of fame.

  • June looks amazing @ 1:48 so sexy! Love you June, R.I.P!!!!

  • I like this song. From the Contact album...

  • omg look how sensual Ruth's hand movements are when she starts singing... that is pretty hot lol

  • I always like the pointer sisters.. I bought this album when I was younger and always listened to this song. Great Video for the times.. June Pointer was so damn sexy!!! All of them were so pretty.. Good Times PS

  • wonderful booming music

  • Pointer Sisters are so damn awesome. One of their best here...

  • agreed...All of the sisters could lead and sing backup at the same time with out drowning out the other..Groups today could take a lesson from that formula...In this song, Ruth really proved she can lead with the best of them...

  • AMEN 5rodan5 AMEN!!!

  • They look so beautiful and glamorous, I really missed June!!!

  • This song is a classic!

  • the hairstyles and outfits and look of the video all scream the 80s

  • These ladies are lovely and talented. June is divine here!!!!!

  • Pause @ 1:49 she should have got into modeling too :)

  • Wow the sister on the left is smoking pretty :) Sorry I forgot her name :(

  • Anita (purple outfit) Ruth (lead vocals) June-R.I.P. (Slim sister)

  • thanks yes June was here name :)

  • I always loved this song. And the sisters rarely looked as beautiful as they did in this video ! These ladies can SING, bottom line. I'd love to see them inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it would be a long overdue acknowledgement of a career that was fruitful and inspirational. BTW, this song's title definitely is "Back in my arms", by all accounts.

  • love this song, but isn't it called back in MY arms isntead of back in Your arms? It says My at the begining.

  • On the "Contact" album it's called "Back In Your Arms". Although I did hear that the first working title was "My Arms".

  • No...it's NOT. It's "Back in MY Arms" on the Contact album. Dude, you're all over these Pointer posts acting like a Pointer expert, and you get a lotta shit wrong. You also imply that you had some sort of relationship with them. But I worked with them for years in the '90s and early 2000s, and I sure never saw you around...

  • first of all ass! I've worked with them as well and still do. I know alot more than you do. If you being arrogant over a coouple of f..king words-then you need a serious realty check. If you notice something that wasn't to your recolation-then you simply inform me. But maybe your parents haven't taught you the meaning to act like you have some sense. Realize idiot! I do have a concert that no one else has! Where is your footage, etc of the sisters-to prove your worth or knowing them?

  • hey clintonmusiclover...i hope you are well..could you tell me how Ruth and Anita are holding up since Junes demise...i know it has been over 2 years but i lost my brother 19 yrs ago and my heart still hurts...the sisters were and still are a class act...

    kat

  • I don't know really how they are. Far as I think, Anita is hurting the most.(Considering that she lost her only child) My friend have spoken to them since then. She have spoken to Ruth (about 4 months ago)and said they just seems to be dealing. Nobody is really saying anything. I have tried to contact them about working on a documentary. So far I haven't gotten a response. I had the Obituary of June. (I tore it up in anger. Stupid!) But I do have the burial site where she was laid to rest.

  • Thank you my friend.

  • @buffalojrj ...boy, ruth was always my favorite of all 4 sisters, and she really shows her vocal power..this group is the only sister acts (clark sisters) where each singer can lead and do background with out no divatude or attitude....a true rarity...I wished they'd put out a gospel cd...

  • hey clintonmusiclover...thanks for your response..yes anita must be devastated about her child and june...losing both in such a short time..you could always see the sisters love for one another in their singing..i hope you hear from the sisters soon about the documentary..dont be so hard on yourself for tearing up junes obit..i was crushed when i learned of her death so i imagine you were doubley so..take care and thanks again..

  • Release all your videos on DVD, Pointers. Live performances, extra, interviews, tributes, commentaries on videos, in Memory to June Pointer....The Pointer Sisters Definitive Collection!

  • you tell em.

  • you're smoking dope! The sisters look fantastic! You're not an fan-so why are you opening your mouth!

  • I have the DVD with this song ... never fails to get me ... Ruth ya reallly do it ta me on this one!

  • Isn't this song about a stalker?

  • 1 of my all time favourites.Awesome, sends shivers down my spine when she says ''I'm your conscience''.

  • Ruth has the best voice ever.

  • This is my favorite Ruth Pointer ballad by far. Ruth's soaring makes this song a Pointer Sister classic by far. It didn't even chart in the U.K. Shame!

  • lol Ruth wasn't pregnant. she had a daughter in 1978, and then twins in 1993 via in vitro. No kids in the '80s.

  • Yeah just 60's,70's, and 90's right?? lol

  • Ruth pointer is an original. The dress is really 80's pop video vintage.

  • I think the only reason Ruth is wearing that terrible dress is that if you look closely she was pregnant! Im guessing the huge sleeves distracted from that!

  • june looks the best at 1.48

  • This is an under-appreciated video from the Pointer Sisters' glory days. It should have been a big hit. I don't mind Ruth's dress. It was the 80's, and over the top was the only way to go!

  • They are so beautiful, June is just divine here!!!!

  • well gd!, cheers for sharing

  • I am sure Ruth hates that dress. It certainly didn't look very comfortable on her. The other dresses on Anita and June look very stylish, even if this was 1985.

  • Except for Ruth's hideous "Gone With The Wind" drapes for a dress this video and song are excellent. Stellar vocals!

  • WOW! I am a BOG PS fan & I never knew of this video. Thank You! Loved seeing this.... I LIVE for them! STILL!!!

  • The album, Contact, is awesome from beginning to end. I love this album...

  • they should have released 'hey you' form the contact album...excellent tune

  • Haven't seen this in years. Surprised it was never a hit. One of my favorites from them, awesome singing...

  • i never knew there was an video for this track i didnt chart in the states i have to get this video

  • Ruth Pointer is never given the credit she deserved. No offense, June Pointer is amazing and has raw funky talent, but Ruth really belted this tune with such passion. Lyrics and passion. This is what good music is all about and what today's music is severely lacking.

  • Agreed. Love her on Dance Electric from the Break Out album...

  • I agree 100%. the pointer sisters are the TRUTH and ruth has one of the most unique and powerful voices ever. I would love to hear her sing a gospel hymn.

  • I don't know if you are aware but the Pointer Sisters did a special on the pbs network A Gospel Christmas with the All Atlanta Chorus and Atlanta Symphony. It was truly a Gospel experience and I wished they'd released it onto cd. It would have sold.

  • Hot hot hot - haven't seen this since the 80's - it came out on the RCA sample video - love it - thanks so much for taking me back to a happier place!

  • if you like it listen this : muttonheads - I'll be there

    a very good remix.

  • Didnt even chart in England-amazingly

  • Can you post up the music video to Freedom?

  • Quite a successful single in England. Sure wish "Pound, Pound, Pound" was a single though.

  • thank you for posting this great song!i have never seen this one.send more!!!
