@CloudysGuitarChannel This is usually the main theme for most final fantasy games, it's played after you beat the game. It was actually played in 8 and 7 but it was during the end credits of the game.

@Detsurasu Hey, 13 was actually pretty good, even if it was maddeningly linear at first. And the music was fantastic! The music from all of the FFs is fantastic, really. Masashi-san and Nobuo-san are both wonderful composers.

Played FFXI for years and finally decided to look up XIV. This song was playing on the main site and I was left with no choice but to immediately find it on here and like/favorite it.

Judging from alot of reviews/comments XIV is apparently pretty bad but whatever I'm still gonna try it myself. No opinion more reliable than your own.

I love how FF music titles always change a little from game to game, how they are played by a whole orchestra and get greater and greater, while they still stay those same old melodies we've known for years.

That's what makes them great. You reminisce about all those great adventures you already lived through since FF I, while you start into your new adventure named FF XIV!:)

I think the most memorable to me in Final Fantasy was in IV (II in NA) was after you leave Baron with Kain and this music comes on and you just know your in for one big adventure. It was my first FF game and one of my favorite games of all time.

I love Final Fantasy.

It was my first RPG love. I played 3 over and over. I was thrilled when 7 came out. I played ffxi for days on end.

I remember when I was very young my friends would make fun of me for playing FF because their graphics sucked, and I used to defend Square by saying its not about the graphics its about the story, game play and character development.

Now it seems that Square is lost. FFXIV sucks. Story sucks. Gameplay sucks. But it has good graphics...

This is actually the Final Fantasy ONE main theme - but Uematsu liked it so much, he put it into virtually every Final Fantasy game in the main series at some point.

It isn't in FF13 because Uematsu didn't write even a single piece of music for that game.

@siolux8 actually if you take a quick search on youtube for "Final Fantasy Theme" this song was in from the beginning of the series and Mr. Uematsu has written different adaptations for this song... since the first I believe this makes 14 different takes on this theme. (no correlation meant this theme isn't in all of the FF games but a good majority of them! :)

It's called the Final Fantasy Theme, or the Official Theme of Final Fantasy.

This theme along with the prelude them are almost constant mainstays of the series but are sorely absent in FFXIII (which does have some awesome music, regardless)

@Qwyun Not this theme specifically, just a very similar theme that was composed by Masashi Hamauzu. Basically this theme represents the general Final Fantasy theme, while the FFXIII prelude and Miracles is essentially Masashi Hamauzu's take on the theme.

Basically, Masashi Hamauzu composed the FFXIII theme, just for that game.
