Nope. They're pretty damn tough. I'll give 'em that. The pop is wicked for about a month. I don't think the carbon fiber has as much to do with pop as it does to do with just general overall strength.

Just bought one of these, had an armor light about 2 years ago, I have a tendency to snap decks. Anyone had problems with these snapping easy?

Yeah. Mine went really cloggy after 2 and a half months. Started to feel like I was riding a brick. Went back to Hook-Ups.

Only tried they ply so far man. It's over a month old now and is starting to fade a bit on the pop and still chips too much for my liking but for the abuse i've given it everyday, it still feels really sturdy under my feet. I'm tempted to get an Armor Light next to try them out but the chipping has king of put me off a little. (It delammed down 3 ply, 1 inch across, 2 inch deep the other day after a light bonk on the nose) They are not bad though and I will still recommend a ply any day.

Still popping nicely a week later. Still crisp & feels great. Down 3 plys on the tail after heavy use. I've had the best week of skating with it just gone. A little chip I could repair with Liquid Nails & sandpaper but no other complaints. They seem under-rated over the Armor Lights but I still recommend the plies for sure. They look great too and the graphic leaves awesome big dirty marks on anything it slides.

I've been riding one of these for a week now (with 3 days off waiting for a new kingpin). I was a little worried on first ride as it felt a little heavy, but after I got used to the board I found it freakin' flies. It's 8 ply & feels a bit different but afte ra short time on it, the thing just becomes awesome.

all boards snap fools. a deck will last me about two weeks at the park. i set up a new deck each week when skating street. sometimes more.

i love darkstar n shit but ima have to say this is bullcrap they use the same armor ply toy machines use n dont get me wrong big fan of both comps but i snapped the shit out of my toy machines 4 days of skating it. it was good though im not saying im kerry getz but im not bad i do alot of stairs but land my tres n shit over stairs bolts so idk why it broke so easily yet a anti hero from deluxe dist has lasted me longer n its just standard wood
