love the ruler alternative. i will have to try that. i'm new too the extreme sporting of couponing so forgive me but why do you staple the coupons together?

I staple them together so they stay together, after I tear them out! It helps to keep them organized and in their place!

So, do you take the staples out before you hand them to the cashier? i have just started using coupons and I am amazed at what you can get for very cheap or Free! I have a nice stockpile started, because I have used coupons. I wish I had used them sooner!!
