If you ever get your hands on one of these cars in good condition, treat it like gold. It will handle just about whatever punishment you can throw at it, but you will be replacing expensive parts fast. Just don't race everyone you see, only race the higher end cars. I have presonally kept up with a high end ferrari and a crotch rocket doing a wheelie, but only because the ferrari was spinning tires and I had AWD.
I paid 7K for mine, paid about 10K worth of repairs and upgrades in 3 years

The stock internals on the 4g63 have also handled more than 600 HP on several occasions. The 4b11 is a aluminum block vs the 4g63's cast iron block. There are several other things wrong with the 4b11 that I don't have space to get into. Also if you think the bottom end of the 4g63 is one of the worst ever... you clearly are retarded. Seriously... no argument can even be made.

Actually, Sean Glazar went 197mph in the 1/4 mile back in 1998 with a factory '92 unibody chassis. AWD cars are not governed, the 2.0L 4g63 can make well in excess of 1000hp, and there are 5th gearsets available in 12% and 25% taller ratios that will prevent a Z06 from getting away above 150mph. I know because I have the 12%. Didn't want a straight cut 25% 5th gear in my car because it's street-registered.

@fatsubsonic and wuts the difference between an eclipse/talon and the evo that jeremy IS talking about? oh wait... almost nothing... the evo motor is based on the 4g64 in dsm's...., thats why they have equal performance (though dsm's need work as they are abused), the same sound basically, and both can be awd (evo is always, but you get the point).... so if you say 'garbage girls car' youre saying that for the evo as well lol

wake up playstation boy... the FQ400 does not have the same driveline as that shitbox. A 4g64 is not a 4B11 FQ400 engine. You don't judge engine components by the "sound" of an engine. I gather you have never built an engine in your life. Luckily most Mitsubishi's are scrapped after 15 years thank goodness... They should stick to aircon units and computer monitors.... ohh and did you know they make pens too? LOL worst Japanese car manufacturer... & the court cases back that.
