I wouldn't see that many trains in a week where I live, and I'm right next to a mainline. Sadly, I never see freight workings of any kind.

do they have signals so u can see if stuff is coming? and is it easy to get to that footbridge from the station?

No, but you can see stuff under the bridge under bridge by crouching down.
