  • an you tell me if the 1st images were of a game...and which one is it...

  • @SgtHawkinspxs

Hi, none of the images in this video were from video games. All are either commissioned works, like the first one by a very famous artist (he drew the art in the first Star Wars), works from free galleries, or from movie clips.

  • @SgtHawkinspxs This video has no pictures from video games. All of the art is from either galleries or movie stills.

  • yay female power,love it.

  • ooohhh I saw Xena in there! haha

  • It just so happened that history was written by men that's why there are very few accounts of women. Truth is, women already has the upper hand. If they're altogether beautiful just as they are strong, that's one deadly combination. Had it been that the points of view and the experiences of women were recorded and given an equal footing in the pages of history, then women aren't after all those damsels in distress. "Women give their all when it comes to passion but don't get them scorned...."

  • Although women typically are not as strong as men they have superior

    fine moter skills to men.

So If you put a blade in a well trained women's hands and she becomes a deadly force to recon with.

  • It's all a matter of physical conditioning and mental attitutde. There were lots of famous women warriors down through history. The U.S. and other military forces have quite a few female warriors. As a former warrior myself, I say "Hoo-rah, ladies, be all that you can!"

  • @ClubGirlPower

Um that's not how Melee combat works. Height, upper body strength and reach all play far more important factors than fine motor skill. Men tended to be the warriors because they were bigger, stronger had a far greater reach than a woman and were far more aggressive.

  • @EatTheHumans Then how do explain the famous mounted female archers of the ancient Sarmatians? The female warriors amoung the Vikings? The Amazon myths are based on historical reality. It's known that women fought as gladiators in the arena. But, see I live in the real world. I'm a Viet Nam veteran and fought my share of female Viet Cong and they were tought. Today, women fight in the Army and fly military jets and helos. Stop being a chauvinist and accept reality.

  • @AmazonArtCollector You mean the ancient Sarmatian women who there is very little archeological evidence for? The Female warriors amongst the Vikings who were considered a last line of defense when the community was under attack, the Amazon myths that have more to do with a Male dominated society inventing tales to prove their own superiority (a little hint in the myths the amazons always lost) and the Gladiator matches that were basically novelty girl on girl matches.

  • @AmazonArtCollector I mean this in the nicest way possible but please, please, read some History books before you make statements like that. There is no basis in fact for "Amazon" warriors. And really in ancient times the last person you want pulling a composite Horn and wood bow would be a woman. For that sort of thing you want somebody with very powerful shoulder muscles.

  • @AmazonArtCollector There's a massive difference between the sexes then and now though. Plus archery isn't really melee combat, is it? The fact remains, height, reach andupper body strength are far more important in swordsmanship. You're also not taking ino account armour and how heavy it was. You'e not looking at this objectively enough from a historic FACTUAL viewpoint. Combat and diet now is far different to the Vikings and the Romans so its a ridicuous comparision

  • @AmazonArtCollector oh, and for the record, I am actually a woman saying this. Feminism is all well and good, but its worthless and downright idiotic when it attempts to fly in the face of historic knowledge and evidence. There's nothing chauvinistic about saying that swordplay requires height, reach and upper body strength - something that men had more of than women in the days when swords were still the primary weapon. Stop being so subjective and learn to separate history from the present.

  • @SammyKat86 I am a military historian and was a Marine Recon in Viet Nam. I fought female V.C. and they were a ferocious. The People's Liberation Army and Navy have many women warriors as does the U.S. military. If you want historical proof, just visit my blog at werewolfking@blogspot.com and visit my "Links" section. You will find plenty of sites with info on historical female warriors.

  • @AmazonArtCollector I'm not questioning that but I don't think your experiences are relevent when discussing swordfighting. Even you have to acknowdlege strength and reach is important- and reach isn't something anyone can change. So two swordspeople can be of equal skill and perhaps even strength but if the guy's taller and has a greater reach than the women, guess who's going to win? face it, when it comes to swordplay, men had the advantage.

  • @SammyKat86 so you saying a bigger person or bigger sword is more effective in battle, maybe for an unorganised army that when they meet they fight one on one in a big group, but for an organised army like the romans, a short sword was more effective. Battle was fought closely, big swords were less maneuverable. Someone with a shorter reach can just get close and negate the reach of the one with a longer reach, in fact taking the advantage.

  • @marconu3D quite right. Though a sword has a maximum effective range, people often forget they have a minimum effective range.

  • @AmazonArtCollector: When I think of todays warriors I often use the word soldier instead although it means the same thing only that they are different words for the same thing, but anyway that's the word I use for todays warriors. When I think of the word ''warrior'' I think of the warriors of the past who wielded the sword, axe, mace or anything like that as their primary weapon. You seem to have lived through much in your days. I can't imagine what you had to go through. Glad you made it though

  • @Khornedevotee Thanks for your thoughful comment. Actually, today all modern military men and women consider themselves to be warriors. In the U.S., a soldier is a member of the U.S. Army, a Marire in the Marine Air Corps, a sailior is in the U.S. Navy, and an airman in the U..S Air Force. Noramlly, these wariors are all enlisted men and women as the term officer is used for commissioned officers in all branches. Non-commisioned officers are sergents or petty officers.

  • @AmazonArtCollector: Well, when at war I guess all who serve their country through the means of warfare, consider themselves to be warriors who serve their country in what way they believe is right :/. Am I right?!

  • @Khornedevotee Absolutely! In this world, they're are only two ways to live: like a wolf or like a sheep; predator or prey. I prefer to live among the predators who are less likely to be eaten or become slaves. Down through history, nations with strong warriors thrived and prospered while those who let their military weaken were defeated and became slave-nations or paid huge tributes. Warriors keep you free not politicians.

  • Who said women can't be a knight? If she's got guts, can lift a sword or spear and heft a shield, fit into armour. and ride a horse, then she can be all that she can. Doesn't matter who kills you, man or woman, dead is dead!

  • Nice Job:DMany skin Have you got.I like this vid

  • Good choice of music again. It fits perfect with women knights. And the pictures are excellent. the best is the first picture between amazons and greeks.

  • i would agree with that comment.. not bad amazonartcollector... not bad at all...

  • The music really gets you in the mood. That opening scene of Amazons battling Greeks was absolutely spot on, the best I've seen yet. Really enjoyed all the art. Quite artistic and fantastic without a lot of needless skin showing.

  • @Antiope549 i agree, finaly some actually useful armor/clothing!
