Ridiculous chops. But that's not all the judges look for. try some decreshendos, tension build-ups, and maybe even some brush techniques. Only half of a solo is chops. The other half is structure. Incorporate your speed and fills into your grooves, not seperate them. But sick man, I'm entering this year, You have the potential to win the whole thing.

Why is these guys win but you never see them playing on the big stage with the big boys. I'll tell you why. they practive patterns every day and are not very good muscians just spray the kits with a bunch of notes.

Im glad you didnt just do quads with your double pedals around the kit for your entire solo. You opened up with a very good latin groove on the ride which i like. I have a tip: I think it wasn't musical enough. You clear have the edge over the competition in technical skill but this was utter wankage. If you incorparated these rudiments and runs into something more musically themed or put them in a unique idea, you would be the winner a few times in a row.

Weak groove. Where are the dynamics? Dude has technique for sure, but it sounds like nothing more than a bunch of memorized licks that I've heard countless times before, nothing original. Needs to work on improvisation and creativeness. Technique is gotten easily enough through lots of repetitious practice. Good solo's make a great musical statement ; not an exibition of mere technique. Too many players make this mistake. Technique is merely a means to an end.
