yeah, so disappointing to come here and find such a blatantly absurd solution. Further to your note - this toxic method should not be used by anyone who give a s**t for the planet.
@Rubberizeit Thanks for that. I agree it is a very nice product for this - except that according to your video posted above, it takes one gallon to do the planter. That's (also according to your website) $100.00 to do one planter! No thanks, i will continue to seek a simpler, more natural solution.
@stealthyuser Keep in mind - it was a "dual level" planter - which requires about twice the amount of liquid rubber to coat. In addition - it is a large planter... about 44"w x 24"h x 20"deep - also - seeing how it was a "rough" finish planter - it took a bit more to coat than a "smooth" finish wood planter. There are variables and maybe for this application I should have used the IG version - as it is thinner and goes a bit further. It is plant safe - and that is a key point
Paint the inside of an aquarium with roofing tar. After it dries, fill it like you normally would with water and fish. If the fish dies, you know your soil will be poisoned too..I'm j/k, don't kill any fish you don't plan on eating or feeding to something.
Why do you think "they" tell you not to use rain water from your roof if your roofing material is made out of petroleum based products...b/c carcinogens leech out of the materials. Just another way of introducing toxins into our environment
with vegetables line the box with wax butcher paper and glue it down covering the whole bottom except for wholes for the bottom so the roots can drain
