What was so confusing near the end was that he stopped eating... and to see a loved one go a week without eating anything is difficult.
And in the last couple of days we were always at his side, using a small sponge to touch ice water to his lips although he was unable to swallow. He didn't recognize anyone by name but I felt he knew we were there to take care of him and ease his passing, and he seemed to relax a bit when we were there.
Life would not be...without death, my friend.
The Western world needs to accept and become one with this fact...
Without death, there is no life.
Human touch is a key to peace. We have also made human touch taboo...we need to touch one another, hug one another...LOVE one another.
