New hydraulic fracturing (fracking) processes are creating excessive toxic waste water that has no way of being processed to remove the toxicity. The burden of trying to figure out what to do with all of the toxic waste has fallen on local communities, and they are overwhelmed with the poisonous chemicals. Another huge problem has been the leakage of this toxic fluid into ground water supplies. Drinking water, water used for livestock and irrigation are also affected. The problem is emmense.
This is what we've been waiting for. Any doubters of this clip...I invite you to PA to see and taste the water coming out of some peoples taps. Water so toxic they can't even bath in it. Any doubters come to PA, we've got more frack fluid that we know what to do with....that's why we're taking it to Ohio and injecting it into wells that have caused the recent earthquakes! Yep, fracking will frack the hell out of you and everyone around you! Great clip, thanks.
"Toxic hydrofracking fluid" huh? Well I guess you could drown in it, since it's 98.5% water, 1% sand, and 0.5% lubricants, surfactants and suspension agents. But hey, nothing sells like fear, right?
@TheResidentSkeptic are you really that stupid? They use MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF FLUIDS. Which mean they are pouring THOUSANDS OF GALLONS OF TOXINS into the ground. If you change the oil in your car and would pour the oil into the water you'd go to jail.
@Zaxxen69 You can also Google "drinks fracking fluid"
The first thing to understand is that water wells are shallow. The deepest private residential wells go perhaps a couple hundred meters, though most are much shallower. Fracking takes place kilometers deeper underground; and in most places, the fracked shale beds are separated from the surface watersheds by multiple rock formations of different types. There's little or no transference of anything — gas or liquid.
@TheResidentSkeptic I did look it up. The CEO of Haliburton refused to drink it, and now one of his lackey's is breaking out daily and calling off work regularly.
@Zaxxen69 The article I'm reading says the CEO of Haliburton Dave Lesar did drink the fracking fluid at a conference presented by the Colorado Oil and Gas Association in Denver...
He raised a container of Halliburton's new fracking fluid made from materials sourced from the food industry, then called up a fellow executive to demonstrate how safe it was by drinking it, according to two attendees.
Frack! ...well done ...kind of puts a twist on holy water ...I just watched a a law seminar video regarding punitive damages where the original damages(Exxon-Valdez) awarded were reduced to less than the CEO'S salaries for 1 year ...what the frack!?!?!?!?!?!
the exploitation of people and natural resources must be stopped ....the new Enbridge pipeline proposal as well as the tarsands must be stopped NOW
this shit looks like environmental terrorism were is the us army why dont we drop some ten million dollar bombs on this shit like we drop on two dollar huts in irac..and the lawyers should be flocking to sew these assholes for environmental terrorism
According to Forbes.com, Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil, made a $2,207,000.00 salary in 2010 with a bonus of $3,360,000.00, restricted stock awards worth $15,465,375.00 and other compensation valued at $443,921.00. That's in ONE year folks. And he's #141 down the Forbes list of top salaries.
Its sad how many people don't understand how hydrofracing works and don't understand that it doesn't contaminate groundwater hardly at all. People's oil drips on the roads actually cause 70 times more damage to water than hydrofracing. More research is needed before making assumtions.
@impalaman1962 Dude, seriously, shut up. Just, shut up now, before it's too fracking late. Let the adults do the talking, and go back to your playblocks.
@FoxGroundsman I'm not here to fight but I have been in this business too long and know otherwise. I'm not sure where you get your information but just do a little more research before making an assumption. In the end, do you really think you can stop it? Everybody makes mistakes.
@impalaman1962 I'm not sure to what you are referring but just because "everybody makes mistakes" doesn't mean that the people or corporations responsible for making the mistakes shouldn't be held responsible for the damage their mistakes create. Look into the exxon valdez clean up effort. There was a great Democracy Now piece on how there is STILL OIL ON THE BEACH 20 years later. A corporation with the revenue of Exxon would have the resources to clean up their mess.
Considering the whole "what's going to happen to these wells a few decades from now" issue, I recommend looking up ShaleGas102 TheExperiment on youtube.
Great job Kudos! Well done, We posted it on our Sharon Springs Against Hydrofracking FB page so others can view a jaw dropping hit of reality. Thank-you again for such funny and informative work
Lol, ha you do not fool me. I'm not that stupid too! ;-) Cry it out, I should say and thanks a lot for the message. Keep smiling and by the way, we know you are right. This is for sure the best way to bring this kind of bad news to the public. AAAAAAH!! B-)

@garic2k You're right, I'm sorry, it wasn't Lesar who drank the fracking fluid. He instead handed the glass to another executive who did drink it.
Wait - is your argument here that if the CEO himself didn't drink it the demonstration is meaningless?

@TheResidentSkeptic rofl, you actually believe them, that is what is hillarious.

@TheResidentSkeptic What's the point of pulling a PR stunt where someone other than the CEO drinks the fluid?
If he won't do it, it shows that he's not confident in his own business.
