The solo was so sloppy compared to alexi's normal standards. but im incredibly happy that they got back up on their feet on this one and are playing song again.

@Arariusomg i thought the solo was actually quite clean compared to alexi's normal LIVE standards - the second solo was the least clean, but the first part was imo as clean as seoul and the last sweeps and outro were great as well :)

But yeah definately happy they are playing this song!

@eX0Noah Its just my opinion, but I've heard far better live from him. Listen to him live at Tokyo warhearts. He plays all the songs faster than the original tempo and it sounds 100% completely clean. None of Alexi's new live playing compares to it in my opinion. =\

I agree that none of alexi's new live stuff compares, which is i guess why i was pleasantly suprised at this solo, which is notoriously one of COBs hardest.

@eX0Noah Its badass they played it of course. I personally think that Kissing the shadows is easily Cobs hardest song that they've ever wrote. I know how to play all of it except for the last sweeping section. Its a little too fast for me still. but I can do it slow. About 100 bpm instead of 142 which is the full speed.

I dont blame them for not playing this song live... THINK ABOUT IT.. its HANDS DOWN THEIR MOST DIFFICULT SONG to play.. the guitar licks are verryy TECHNICAL.. Alexi is only human.. you can't expect him to play it perfect everytime.. espeacially since he is C.O.B's Vocalist and Lead Guitarist.. Singing and playing isnt that easy.. so i respect the fact that they choose not to play this song as much.. altho it is my 3rd favorite after Hate Me and We're Not Gonna Fall

I'm a bit confused that there are so many posts like:

"Shit Alexi nailed the solo!!11 Awesome. They are still able to play it."

In my opinion there is no question that they can play it live because if you play an instrument you get usually better and not worse. I think the only thing why they haven't played it live for a long time is that in this song could very much don't work. And if there happen too many mistakes live everybody would say that they can't even play their own stuff.

In my opinion they don't play it becouse there are A LOT of songs to play....they don't play also childen of bodom and bed of razors...but they don't play them becouse they have "fresh" stuff to play and don't have enough time at their lives to play all of their songs....it could take 2 days of playing on live to play all tha songs.:P

Yeah they have a shit ton of awesome material great for a live show, Silent night bodom night is a must for them, Living Dead Beat another must, Downfall is the best outro, Hate Crew Deathroll is their signature song, Needled 24/7...and thats a full show just their...And thats the basic stuff O.o

i can't fucking beilive this. They actually pulled this off. I honestly thought Alexi would never be able to play the solo to this song again. Bodom was really going downhill with there solos, and blooddrunk was a letdown for me, dont get me wrong.. it was a good album but DEFINATLY not Bodom. What i don't like is Bodom ussualy plays their poser songs live, but they just went up in my books after this."fucking amazing.. wow :O

Speed, All together it just sounds like one big fucking ball of awesome. After Follow the reaper Bodom lost their Finnish melodic Deathmetal sound and moved on to more of an American metal style.  And stupid faggy emo's listen to Bodom because of blooddrunk so it's poser...
