  • Check out my videos of 357 magnum I just got :)

  • What kind of load & bullet?

  • That was cool. On the big cinder block, at first i was like thats it? Then you shot it a second time and i was like DAMN!!!!!

  • not a good gun for home defense because the bullet could easily exit the walls of the house and go into another house..........too powerful

  • @ash4245 Maybe a 9mm would also go through the walls of a house as would even a .22? Solve that by not missing the intruder and have im stop the slug.

  • wow!

  • dam nice shoot

  • That was fucking awesome

  • That was fucking awesome. Too bad my .357 doesn't sound as mean

  • wow

  • that was amazing i wasnt expecting that at all, great vid!!!

  • Just one more reason why I am not in favor of using Magnum Handguns for Home Defense.

The average distance from most people's bedrooms to most people's hallways is under 30ft.

This holds true for most distances within a normal house.

That is effectively deadly Shotgun range or effective .38+P range...NOT Mag range.

A .44 or .357 is way too much gun unless you want a dead kid or dead neighbor on your hands.

If you have to use a Mag then PLEASE use frangible bullets.

    Especially in apartments.

  • I wish I could even shoot a pistol, stupid CT rules I cant shoot even at a range unless my dad gets a pistol permit, and I'm 16 which isnt bad but come on!

  • damn bro nice. i also got a .357 that my dad gave me. gotta love dads! idk i wish i had a cinderblock to shoot at lol.

  • Gordon Freeman's pistol of choice

  • awwwwwww yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

  • do you think that .50ae would one shot it?

  • @FoKeg55

    Smith .500mag would.:)

  • @valuepack2 Yeah defs

  • a oui kan mm^^

  • lmfao...

  • Awesome, I like to shoot these with my .40 I would have thought a .357 would have blown it to bits in one or 2 shots. Awesome vid though

  • I know this Chinese monk that can smash that block just by YELLING at it. Ohh yeah and my airsoft gun would tear that thing up(Sarcasm). Damn can't people just enjoy a video instead of having to "one up it". Nice video man, i liked how the red brick exploded.

  • Anyone can do that to a brick buy just throwing it at the ground.

  • my ak does that in one shot

  • @GIANTWARTITAN but your ak wont fit in your pocket, my .357 does :)

  • some good shootin' that piece of 2x4 exploded! What type/grain of ammo did you use?

  • @99silverstone that was a red brick on top, not a 2x4

  • Cool video. I hate when people say my shotgun could break it in one shot. Or my hammer can break it in a single hit. So what!!! Post it. Do a video response.

    357 is no joke

  • I got a boner watching this, tbh.

  • Chuck Norris kills 2 stones with 1 bird.

    ..XD..

  • .500 sw mag does it in 1 shot...

  • @dves517 his would have if the damn thing wernt using juggernaut lol

  • @dves517 if you wanna pay 1200 dollars for the pistol and 4 dollars a round, .357 cost .30 cents a piece, 50 bucks says you couldn't handle the recoil. 12 gauge can do it in one shot as well for .50 cents, but my sp101 .357 can fit in my pocket easy, cant say the same for a .500 or a 12 gauge, can ya now? Troll somewhere else, douche.

  • My 30-30 blows the cinder blocks to pieces first shot every shot from 50 yards. Endless fun =)

  • My 30-30 blows the cinder blocks to pieces first shot every shot from 50 yards. Endles fun =)

  • 357;1

    cinderblock; 0

  • I hate these videos! Its forcing me to buy more guns and my safe is already full!

  • omg ! wow! i love this gun!

  • "Bricks! It's the bricks! He hates Bricks!"

  • Can i get this for my super nintendo or do i have to upgrade?

  • oh K, soooooooo what ?

  • @drewnickel Or you could throw it off the roof of a house, or run over it in a truck, or... we could go on and on. Film it, post it, and wait for 252,000 people to view it.

  • @Suupernintendo you just owned that guy.

  • @MrSEEbeeARE the funny thing is, I probably would view it. I love watching stuff get demolished. The fact that something that weighs a quarter-ounce and can be launched from your hand will accomplish this just never ceases to amaze me. I could watch gun videos all day long if I didn't have to work.

  • @Suupernintendo amen. i love my guns

  • @drewnickel Yeah, so what's yer point?

  • God damn!...I'm gonna buy me a 357 mag to demolish my old house before I build the new one.

  • @MrVrexor

Ok man now that seems a little to far in, maybe some connection there...haha jk

  • If you had an enemy, make sure they don't have a .357

Cause if you get in a fight with them, you might end up like those bricks.... :|

  • motherfucker that cinder block had a wife and kids! :(

  • @KRESOANDCARL yeah well it looked at me funny, so....

  • @Suupernintendo No, your supposed to yell ITS COMING RIGHT FOR US before you shoot it!!

  • @Suupernintendo Is forgiveness not in your heart? YOU MONSTER!

  • @Suupernintendo well looks like im getting a 357 so i dont have to keep trying to fit my ak in my pants pocket

  • @KRESOANDCARL well cinderblock raped his kids and killed his wife with a fucking rasor! D:<

  • @KRESOANDCARL the brick was a chip off the old block and the mother was built like a house

  • @KRESOANDCARL hey man he did the right thing a friend of mine got mugged by a cinder block just last week

  • lol farted at 0:14

  • Hand guns are sexy!

  • 0:09 hahaha! he knocked his block off!

  • BlockBuster!

  • @ALLERTORLOVER69 well said - my favorite comment out of 336 so far.

  • 125gr remington semi-jacketed soft point

  • Hollow point, semi-wad cutter? Brand of ammo? Grain?

  • favored

  • O_O

  • next lets see what it does to justin bieber

  • @tylerawsome3 no first osama bin laden then bieber

  • Awesome statement "Let's see what a handgun does to it."

  • thats cool love the 357

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    im love this gun

  • Did it died?

  • What distance were you from the target(namely the cinder blocks)?

  • @GreenTeaGoku hmm, maybe 12 - 15 feet or so.

  • DAMN!!!!!

  • its not really a good idea to shoot concrete... ricochets are possible. last thing you want is a ricocheted .357 magnum to the face. not really safe.

  • earth dying and you here talking about killing bears.whats the problem with you,USA?

  • ahh fu** me eye! bloddy rickoche

  • @mindeloman in a self defense situation, does the incident usually occur at 100 ft or 2-5 feet? in a 2 foot combat situation where you are fending off an attacker, would you rather tote a 9 inch handgun or a 3 foot long rifle? in self defense, the muzzle velocity of your firearms cartridge plays a small factor. you have the wrong mind set about self defense.

  • Comment removed

  • @mindeloman most conflicts occur at close range. thats why they are conflicts, meaning a single person to another. But every situation is unique drawing a pistol when an attacker is close is a far more common situation than an attacker at a longer distance since they would probably not be considered an attacker at that point. defending your home, whether inside or out, a long gun is more difficult to manuever than a handgun. By "combat" im referring to some type of altercation not literally

  • @mindeloman when self defense experts offer training to citizens to use in a situation, do you think they would focus more on marksmanship at long distance, or more close quarters combat? It just makes more sense that handguns are the choice of firearm in self defense. again, every situation is unique, but this topic requires practical thinking, not necessarily the bigger the better

  • @mindeloman Most shootings take place under 15ft. Yes the person is on top of you. You can draw your weapon but it takes training.

  • @mindeloman I keep this .357 as my HD gun. I have a Ruger Mini in 7.62x39 but it's 4 times longer and heavier, requires two hands to operate, and would literally make me go deaf if I ever shot it indoors. Granted it has more stopping power, but the portability and convenience of the revolver make it my choice for that spur-of-the-moment defensive weapon. If I have plenty of time to prepare for the conflict and it's gonna be outdoors or at some distance away.. yeah, rifle no doubt.

  • Comment removed

  • @mindeloman I hear ya. Both have their uses, as does the old scattergun, which is why all three types are so commonplace. I can't imagine how pulling a gun ended up being a funny story though... I would like to hear it, though. If it does fit into this comments page I think there is a way you can PM me.

  • @mindeloman

a 9mm handgun because all it takes is 1 bullet to kill someone and its WAY more mobile and reliable as a home defense weapon rather than a rifle that will go through your neighbors house and kill their daughter

way to much call of duty kid

  • wow. kick ass video.subbed

  • now use a smith & wesson 500.....

  • imagine what this gun wuold do to your head.......

  • damn....

  • im not impressed because concrete blocks are brittle. I threw a cinder block at a raccoon it hit a tree and shattered.

  • It would do as much damage in the head as in the torso, but the only reason why people would shoot the head is because the person being shot wouldn't feel any pain, he would just die because there is no nerve endings in the brain, if u wanted to shoot someone and make it last a while and hurt alot shoot him in the lower stomach so his stomach acids burn himself from the inside out. most people who have that happened to them die of shock rather than blood loss

  • Whats this gun good for manlily.

  • dad killed a mule deer in canada with a 338 lapua from 300 yards and he said it was very clean

  • dats soo cool man

  • fucken redunculous

  • Were you using hollow points or solid tip bullets?

  • 7.62x39 would have shattered it in one shot

  • @motlencore89 If only they made a legal pistol in that caliber

  • @motlencore89

The same goes for my COCK! ;p

  • Man that fucked it up lol

  • This is more realistic than bf: bc2!! Were can I buy this?!

  • Wow... just wow =o

  • Proof to why my grandfather used a .357 as his service revolver. He said in a real gun fight you need the gun that takes down him down in one shot. And that's very true, the cops 9mm are relatively weak, and if you have the strength you can get back up through the pain, which is very less likely with a .357.

  • @kikook222

Depends on what gets damaged. Shot placement is the exact same for .38spl, 9mm, .40, .357, 45. None of those will spiral the guts around like a high velocity rifle bullet.

  • @leetosaurus There is a difference, the higher the caliber the more it damages (If it doesn't over puncture), a 9mm shot can be easily survivable, while a .357 has more stopping power making much more lethal. As apparent with the kid who died in my area a couple weeks ago, shot with a .357 in the chest and died in less than a minute. I doubt he would have died from a single 9mm shot that quick.

  • @kikook222

Stopping power is a misunderstood term. In order for a bullet to incapacitate someone, it has to strike certain organs in the body. The common handgun rounds of 9mm/357/40/45 are actually very close together in the spectrum of power. Once you get up to 9mm, there is sufficient weight combined with velocity to penetrate arm bones, rib cages, heavy clothing and strike a vital organ in the chest. 357's will perform like a faster 9mm.

  • @leetosaurus You hit the nail on the head with the similarities between these cartridges. If you actually go look at some ballistic tables for the common handgun rounds you'd be surprised just how similar all of them are. Hell, 9mm +P or +P+ nearly equal most 357 magnum loads.

  • @kikook222

As for the 357 being more lethal, it really isnt unless the extra penetration is needed. A 9mm to the heart is just as bad as a 357 or a .45 to the heart. There would be no discernible difference.

  • What kind of bullet were you using.Full metal jacket, Hollow Point... They do make a difference.

  • 357 is a good round for elk and moose? i knew you 357 guys could be pretty hard headed, but damn, i suppose its a good anti-tank round too?

  • talk about home protection...na just kidding my home protection is my dog, my ak47 and my 12ga...that there is for a chipmunk...lol nice vid

  • fuck being that brick haha

  • I just tested out my .357 Mag with 158gr JSP, 125 JHP and 110gr JHP on a Concrete stone block as well as a brick stepping square today. All 3 rds completely obliterated the block/brick. Even factory rounds for this caliber are powerful cartridges.

  • gosh D***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cinder blocks always break like cookies .... and never commit felonies !

  • a pu de bloque avec du .357 mdr bon moyen pour detruire sa

  • one more shot would of destoryed it

  • that would of been an arm lol

  • Damn, I didn't know that the .357 was so strong!

  • reminds me of ak 47 pwr very nice

  • Have the same gun, and a few other models and it IS bad ass. FMJ work excellent against hunting game like black bear, elk, or moose which the .357 DOES kill efficiently. Also would be the better round for grizzly bear defense where penetration would be useful on the bears head and back.......JHP Would work well against terminating smaller animals, and if you had to, people.

  • Hate to disagree with a 357 fan but there is no way that a 357 is excellent for moose and elk. I haven't hunted either with my revolver, but I have read thousand of articles by people who have and the overwhelming majority say that a .308 or .270 is the MINIMUM for hunting big north american game. Maybe a 30-30 if you're at really close range... but even then, the 30-30 packs THREE TIMES the muzzle energy of the 357 Mg.

  • Buffalo Bore makes heavy 357 rounds that, when shot from an 18" barrel, surpass the 30-30 with respect to muzzle energy.

  • The .357 magnum as taken moose and grizzly sized game time, and time again. It was one of the only handguns used for it when it came out. I'm not saying it would be my first choice, thats what my .375 h&h or .338 win mag are for. But it is capable with good ammuntion, and has proven itself with crappy ammo..... I agree that it isn't the best choice, and i'm not trying to start a big argument, but it has taken more moose and the like then alot of popular rifle cartridges.

  • @Suupernintendo AGREED RIFLES ARE THE WAY TO GO FOR HUNTING BIG GAME

  • @Suupernintendo What if it's being shot out of a rifle? Namely a Rossi .357? Will that take care of a black bear? Let's say I'm a bad shot and hit it in the leg. Will the bear rethink coming at me, or will it charge more angry with three legs (assuming it will stop using the shot one)?

  • @needcollegeloan Hard to predict what an animals gonna do ya know. I'm sure there are plenty of 357s that have stopped moose, bears, etc. I'm just sayin it's not ideal. A double-tap from .22LR would stop a charging bull elephant if you hit it in the two eyeballs. But you wanna bet your life on it? I'll take a .458 Lott instead.

  • @Suupernintendo i havent shot a .458 and i dont plan to but those guys practically fall on there ass

  • @Suupernintendo hmm... and I'll take the 700 nitro express bolt action :p

  • @Suupernintendo Yeah, a 22 won't do too much, Good to scare off a little pest or a coyote, But when there is an elephant, Time to pull out the heavy artillery, or just an 8 gauge of course.

  • @needcollegeloan pretty sure a pistol would work just the same if you get him in the head

  • @needcollegeloan .44 Mag in a lever gun like a Marlin 1894 should be sufficient for black bear. Pair it with a matching revolver and you've got all your bases covered and only have to carry one type of ammo.

  • @needcollegeloan well, I'm assuming you're speaking of a lever action .357 rifle. They have lever actions chambered in .44mag and .45-70 gov't, too. I'd much prefer either of those. The .357 is a little light for a bear, though it's very possible to kill one with it, as black bears aren't huge. Are you willing to risk your life field-testing this? Probably not. I'd go with a bigger bore. BTW, if you shoot a black bear anywhere, chances are it'll run. They aren't too aggressive.

  • @needcollegeloan a s&w 686 stopped a black bear charging that was protecting its cubs. a rifle in that caliber would be more accurate so even easier. they use 357 lever actions to shoot deer also and 44 mag levers. so id say it could stop anything in north america. unless u run into big foot. if ur in some other country i wouldnt use it to shoot at something like a rino or something cuz ud just piss it off.

  • @Suupernintendo

From What I've heard (I like hunting, but never did go on a trip), the least you must take when going for large game is a .30-06. I wouldn't prefer handguns myself...

  • @suupernintendo I use to use a 357 lever action for hunting deer, after I moved to alaska and hearing enough success stories of people bringing down large (including grizzly's) with the 357 it was worth the try rather than spend another 2000 on a more appropriate hunting rifle, long story short the 357 did the trick but I will advise there are ofcourse better caliber's for the job but in the long run if you are good with your weapon and use the right ammo it can be done.

  • kick asss

  • what is the best (and powerfulst) choice for a 357 magnum? FMJ or JHP ???

  • Both FMJ and JHP have same 'power'... one expands and thus creates a bigger hole (JHP), while the other (FMJ) penetrates deeper. JHP is weak against armor or even heavy clothing but better for overall defense.

  • JHP. Is for sure the better round if you want to kick ass.

  • @saxomojarf I dont care how much clothing u have on jhp is rippin through some flesh...You can do what I do for home def.and stagger them..one jhp then one fmj that way u get both worlds haha!!

  • Now....where is that Usama Bin Ladin guy? Hmmm..

  • man it's been a long time since i said hell ya after a video, liked it.

  • FUCK YEAH

  • Now imagine your skull taking only 1 round. Because from 21 feet, LOL it would explode!

  • HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS!@@@@@@#!!

  • hahahahahahahahahahhaha

    LOL!!

    LMAO!!!

    LOL!!!

    hshauhahhashuashusa

  • DAMN!

  • soft nose semi jacketed .125 grain, but how would i really know for sure? I have never had to shoot anyone in my home so far...I am sure pretty much any good expanding .357 would be completely adequate

  • Yeah, it was a bad fridge, and needed punished.

  • @mctizzle912

MagSafe #357D Defender. MagSafe ammo swept the Strasbourg tests, beating every other brand by a large margin. Breaks up on sheetrock, so it'll whack the bad guy, but not your neighbors. I know it'll go thru the front of a fridge, shred 2-liter Coke bottles stacked two deep, and not come out the back of the fridge. I keep an SP2340 in 40SW, and a Dan Wesson in 44MAG loaded with them 24/7. It's pricey, but how much is your family worth?

  • I read a report on PD shooting accuracy. The best in the nation is usually the LAPD and the worst is the NYPD.

  • MLynch: You can load up your .357 revolver with .38 Sp. Hollowpoint ammo, which isn't as penetrative as higher velocity .357. You are responsible for the bullet you fire, even in a self-defense scenario. For my home defense gun, I load my Ruger GP100 with .38 Sp. +P hollowpoints, but it is a trade-off with respect to effectiveness.

  • i heard a fart :)

  • cylinder block got pwned

  • nice

  • "I want to see what a hand gun does to it" God that is why us guys love guns and are soo destructive. Its always "I wanna see what X will do to Y" -=)

  • Exactly.

  • I love the .357 Magnum. I got a S&W 586 with a 6 inch barrel in hard chrome. Awesome firearm and very fun to shoot. I don't think people realize just how devestatingly powerful the cartridge can be it can get insane. The .357 can drop Deer/hog/wildcat easy.

  • elk, bear, marauding zombies...

  • @astocks2622 With proper marksmanship and the right ammunition its possible to take down Bear/elk@ close range inside 50-100yrds. I read some very old articles about the .357 back when it was first created. It was considered the "only" handgun suited for African game and with an 8 3/4in barrel(not even offered in that length anymore. 8 3/8 is the longest barrel now.) and with a 158gr HCSWC bullet loaded to full pressure the pistol took just about every large game animal you can think of.

  • @astocks2622 The issue today is Ammunition for the .357 has been toned down and lightened from its early years of production. The ammo was generally much hotter back in the 50's,60's and 70's because ammo types were limited to hardcast lead and FMJ. Hunting was much more popular with the caliber in those times than man stopping. Law enforcement didnt catch on for several years until ammo similar to today's started to be produced. Once the 125gr JHP was invented the rest was history.

  • @astocks2622 If you shop around there are some companies left that produced ammo similar and even better then old school hunting ammo from the 50's, 60's. Buffalo bore makes a .357 cartridge that is 180gr L.F.N. bullet and puts out 1400fps at the muzzle and amazing 783 ft. lbs. of energy. That is on parr with 41/44 Mag in terms of Muzzle Velocity and close to .41 Mag in Muzzle energy out of a .357. Can you tell I love this caliber? lol
