According to the book Capitol Rock there was some crazy guy that would go nuts whenever Link would play this song at a club in SE DC. This crazy guy would grab the cash register and throw it through the window so the guy who owned the bar would beg Link not to play the song.
Holy shit, so far ahead of it's time. That scratchy weird minimal little riff is what you expect to hear on a noise-punk song, not a rock & roll song from the early 60's.
