For the steering box I bought the mount kit from Trail Gear and drilled new holes to mount it forward about two inches to keep the steering linkage (tie rod & drag link) from binding when flexing the suspension. Thanks for all views and feedback everyone! Let me know what else you guys would like to see. I hope to be posting more soon.
you can check the prices of eveything from trail gear. around $2000 for parts and then did all the work myself with help from a couple buddies. So my cost was just parts.
hello there i just built as 95 runner and i bought the steering box deal so its not crossed did u use any original holes or what im stuck lol ant info or help w be greatly appreciated thnx
What kind of money does this cost, assuming you already have the truck, and not including tires. Also, is it the same for the 86-89's since the frame is the same?
nice man very clean it looks easy but its hard to do some thing like this i did the same but i used a 4 link front and alot of work and about 6 months to set up ( work, wife, kids ) made working on it kinda hard
its a 22re you can tell because it doesnt have the stock silver v6 decals on front grill or in the back on the tail gate so unless he put a 3.0 in its a 2.4 22re. i just got a 1990 22re toyota 4runner i was wondering how much you put into just your SAS project
Thanks all! I am collecting all my wheeling pictures and videos to post soon! Stuff that I didn't make myself was mostly from Marlin Crawler & Trail-Gear. Yes the axle is moved forward about 3". And if you want to know how much it costs start checking out their websites.
Good Work...

I used OSH paint for everything. Black semi-gloss for the finish.
It is a stock 4cyl. The 22RE.

@CharlieDoan Solid axle Swap
These trucks are indipendent front suspension from factory, people such as this guy convert them to a beam or solid axle for better offroading.
