I beleve that GM Carl Tate Jr. is the Kwan Jang Nim (President & Founder of Organisation) of the "First Canada Tang Soo Do" Association. GM Tate is also 8th Dan, and was taught by GM Byrne. i think thats all correct

A GM is head of an organisation. Gm Byrne is founder and president of the ATA in Boston and now holder of the 8th Dan,GM. However,GM Charles Ferraro is of Mi Guk Kwan,GM Ho Sik Pak is of Hwarang World TSD Federation,GM Jae Chul Shin of World TSD Org,GM HC Hwang (son of Hwang Kee) of US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan.And Ki Yun Yi is founder and president of the International Martial Arts Association and 9th Dan.That entitles him to be called GM.If you have more questions,let me know.

Grandmaster Byrne is the the grandmaster for American Tang Soo Do....he is also the founder of the American Tang Soo Do federation as well as Byrne's Tang Soo Do Karate Studios
