What you are seeing is the printer trying to align itself to zero on the “page”. Both the paper sensor and the optical sensor in the head have to agree with this to work. I built a special alignment plate for this to work. If you use a Rip software, it will bypass all of this and just start printing. I found that out to late for my project.
How did you manage that printer dance before start of the print? I mean bed driver motor will make a lot of forward and aft movements for cleaning and activating the paper feeder. Im also doing kind of 3d printer so thats the only problem. otherwise i will use second step motor that trigerered when head starts moving, is taht good idea? my printer is epson c67 with continuous ink supply. thanks.
