The previous season, it was reversed; "The Incredible Hulk and the Amazing Spider-Man". I thought that opening theme was cooler, especially when Hulk was lifting the megaton steel cube and Spidey swings by, landing on top of it. I wish they'd put that one on YouTube.

Technically the Hulk cartoon was kind of a spin-off because Hulk was on an episode of the Spidey-Friends. It was something of a pilot.

Yup great cartoon, i was born in 1981 and grew up watching syndicate versions of these shows. The 80's was a great time of animation such as Thundercats, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Transformers, COPS, Real Ghostbusters, She-Ra (Mainly for He-Man's appearences, Hordak and those hot girls), Bravestarr, Centurions, Ducktales, and more.

@supersaiyansai The '66 series was even a bit before my time, but is the only 1 I've ever watched with any consistency. I 1st started watching it in about 1981-2, while with my parents who were on the road in a band. I remember this little motel we stayed at, in the middle of nowhere. It had an "arcade"/game room consisting of 3 games. Whoo hoo! Every morning I'd watch Spiderman, swim (if/when the pool was open), play Missile Command, & count my fingers. Nothing else to do.
