@The52warriors Actually, I was. It worked fairly well the 1st month I was on it, but after that it's almost like it didn't help at all. Depending on your type of acne and the severity of it, I would say try minocycline if your acne isn't too severe, but if you've tried almost everything (like myself) and nothing has worked, I'd say accutane is your best bet. Be cautious though, accutane is a seriously POWERFUL drug with serious side affects. I'd consult a derm first. Hope I helped :)
@iArePhia thank you greatly appreciate your response...this is actually my first time i got prescribed pills im also going epiduo at night,i have broken out so bad! is that normal?did you ever get bad before you got worse?
@The52warriors I've never used epiduo, let me know how it works! I've used ALOT of topical creams but the one that was most effective for me was Retin-A, I used it for a year before accutane.
And I am a person who is prone to initial breakouts:( My skin ALWAYS gets worse before it gets better. If you're taking the pills, it's probably just your skin purging out all the impurities. Hang in there, if it doesn't get better tell your derm. They can probably put you on something more effective:)

@The52warriors hey so i have been taking the minocycline twice a day and using the epiduo gel at night only for 40 days which is practically 6 weeks and its been going okay.it seems to be getting rid of my acne scars allot...but there still is acne that comes and go's...i have two more weeks till next visit with my dermatologist.if everything is going good then I'll still take the minocycline and epiduo...but if ain't my dermatologist said accutane would be the next thing.
@The52warriors Hey, good to hear you are doing well! how bad is the acne that comes and goes? Like a tiny pimple here and there? or huge inflamed ones? I believe mynocycline is an antibiotic right? Well sounds to me like it's working for you great so if you see improvement stay on it. Antibiotics never worked for me, so be cautious (if minocycline is an antibiotic) you can't be on it forever. But don't be too quick to head towards accutane, think it though! Goodluck :D

@The52warriors thanks doll! :) If your acne isn't severe I think the minocycline can do you good! So if you can put up with minor breakouts and deal with them using topicals, I think it's manageable. Everyone's skin is different, so idk what'll happen when you get off. My skin would ONLY stay clear for a month, but then again my acne is extremely persistent/naturally extremely oil. I'd wait to see the results, before making the transition to accutane. That's what your derm is most likely to do.

@The52warriors accutane definitely did not help with my acne scarring. if anything it made me more prone to acne scarring. I like to pick at pimples :x lol so even a slight squeeze to one would give me a scar :/
@tidusgidan My MacBook Pro webcam makes it look like I don't have acne. But like I've stated in my very first accutane video I do not have severe acne, only mild but it's extremely persistent. I've been on everything from creams like tazorac to spirolactone which is the reason my dermatologist put me on accutane... it's always their last resort. And since my acne is not to horrible they said I should see result far fast than those with severe acne which I am.
@ShannonPark415 My macbook pro webcam effect makes my skin look flawless, but my acne is only mild. You're probably expecting an extreme case of acne but in my first video I mentioned having only mild acne.
hey were ever on minocycline? should i go on that or accutane?
