  • This isn't bad, but the hair still has white outlines round it, so if you are putting it on a darker background they would stick out like a sore thumb. I was hoping this tutorial would solve this issue, but alas it does not.

  • Awesome ^__^

  • thanks a lot very informative!!!!

  • Thanks a lot, this is very useful!

  • Is that what you look like Andrew? If it is, you are one hansom mofo! lol

  • More than happy that I could help. Don't forget to check out my other videos, there's a lot. =)

  • for me...it's really helpful

  • The problem is that around the hair there is too much white. When you place the photo on another wallpaper or something like that, it will be noticed.

  • This is just a basic guide. You'd have to apply other techniques to tweak it a little.

  • @LordReserei01 And what can I do to remove the white? What techniques must I use?

  • just off the top of my head, maybe the clone stamp tool or healing brush with a size of 1-2 pixels. It's all about experimenting and having fun in Photoshop. =)

  • wtf thats good

  • FUCK

  • how can we use another background that we have instead of the black white etc backgrounds given in photoshop?

  • Sorry for the delay. You could probably use the black background and mask it out. =)

  • that guy is hot!

  • What ever floats your boat. XD

  • This was extremely helpful. I am off to practice as they say practice makes perfect.

  • It aint helping me, it gets white instead, Plz Help! Thanks!

  • Make sure you set the view mode to "on black". =)

  • @LordReserei01 Ohh, Thanks!

  • @LordReserei01 that is why when clicking on ok the black background I chose disappears ?

  • after choosing "on black" when clicking on ok, the black background I chose disappears and pixels appear.

Please help how to keep the "on black" setting ?

  • I always hated the hair in PS, this will help at some occasions for sure ...

  • If you put this on a digital BG the hair will not look right, it has weird edging. You just show it on transparent BG so it looks ok. How can this be corrected

  • @snake8998 try increasing the Feather option

  • Oh my Lord that was sweet, hope you're feeling better and good luck to you and your fiancé. Peace bro.

  • Haha...thanks. =)

  • Thank you so much!

This really helped me a lot, I really enjoyed how clear you were, straight to the point but all the details were included. Thank again =]

  • Thanks, that's the main focus of all of my videos...keeping it quick, easy and straight to the point.

Life doesn't need to be a thousand mouse clicks. XD

  • @LordReserei01 lol exactly! thanks again i really enjoyed it and i look forward to seeing your other videos.

  • Why when people demo this feature the background is always a single color? I want to see someone do it with a complex background like 95% of the photo's that get taken in real life.

  • The background, simple or complex, the method stays the same. I do it mostly (use solid colour backgrounds in photos) for the sake of free stock footage.

  • photoshop i found is actually very simple to operate

  • very useful thanks

  • wow, cool but i sugest todo a totorial step by step for bigginers like my self , hahaha

  • 1:00 - 1:01 how did yo do that?

  • Use the magic wand tool and hold down shift on the keyboard. =)

  • @LordReserei01 I find my way. But thanks :D

  • @LordReserei01 Not that, he meant that you selected like all the white, then it magically went to his collar. Like it instantly selected the person.

  • Very useful' !

  • Thanks. =)

  • Thank you! very clear, simple and to the point. I will be referring back to this tutorial until I get this right. Look forward to anything else you do for CS5!

  • @ClickCliquePics i agree :) easiest one to follow so far :) simple and too the point :)

  • Thanks, I try to keep all of my videos like that. I find some people do tutorials that are full of things that make it seem more time consuming or more complicated than it needs to be.

  • Thanks, was glad to help and that's how I like tutorials...so keep it that way when I make them.

Also, sorry for the long time replying, not long gotten out of hospital...I try my best to reply to everyone who comments. =)

  • ADAM LAMBERT!!!!

  • That dude's hair looks awesome lol.

  • Thanks dooo much for this tutorial, helped me out alot

  • The requirements are;

    CPU: Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor

OS: WIndows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7

    RAM: 1Gb

    HDD: 1Gb (minimum for installation)

Resolution: 1024x768 (minimum...1280x800 recommended) with qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card, 16-bit color, and 256MB of VRAM"

Video card: Shader model 3.0, OpenGL 2.0 (for some features)

    QuickTime 7.6.2

    So anything above that. lol

  • is kinda hard using quick selection tool even i hold down the shift key.. i always drag extended line

  • this is the best tool in new features

  • O.o He's got bad hair. Almost as bad as yours when you've just woken up! *giggle*

  • hehe, I did type "Crazy hair" in google. =P

  • Dam! When i saw you put it onto a black background i was thinking, why the heck is he doing that way it seems more difficult to do it that way, but when i saw the output- AMAZING, im getting my suite in the mail today cant wait till tommorow gonna stay up late and just photoshop with it, oooh so awesome!

  • It's definitely worth the money, there's more tutorials coming along about new technologies and features in CS5 coming soon. =)
