I know nothing about their eating habits, but I have seen photos of a freshly killed camel spider taken by a U.S. soldier in either Iraq or Kuwait. At first I thought it was a gag of some sort. When I realized that it wasn't, I just about lost my lunch. It is huge and ugly. Once you have seen one, you won't soon forget it, and you will NEVER want to see another. The stuff of nightmares!
Another thing about the desert, mr. Grimes told heather, there is a huge insect in Iraq, called a Camel Spider that can eat you while you're sleeping as it numbs a little bit then eats some more. An archeologist Mr. Grimees met had half his face eaten off by one of these.
