The call isn't blown because it was reviewed. LSU did not have complete possesion before he stepped out of bounds. Now, if the call on the field was an interception then it would have remained that way. A play must have indisputable evidence to be called back. This was not one of those cases. But, the thing about football is that good and bad calls alike are part of the game.

LSU ended up scoring on that drive. Pass interference was not called on the play and alabama lost. It doesn't mean they would have won, but it doesn't change the fact that it was a bad call.
It looks to me like it could have also gone as pass interference on LSU. It appears that the defender bumps the receiver's arm at the same instant that he catches the ball. Perhaps the replay officials took this into account when reviewing the play. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

The call isn't blown because it was reviewed. LSU did not have complete possesion before he stepped out of bounds. Now, if the call on the field was an interception then it would have remained that way. A play must have indisputable evidence to be called back. This was not one of those cases. But, the thing about football is that good and bad calls alike are part of the game.

LSU ended up scoring on that drive. Pass interference was not called on the play and alabama lost. It doesn't mean they would have won, but it doesn't change the fact that it was a bad call.

It looks to me like it could have also gone as pass interference on LSU. It appears that the defender bumps the receiver's arm at the same instant that he catches the ball. Perhaps the replay officials took this into account when reviewing the play. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

This was not an interception, the only people who think it is are LSU fans. You should have watched the Bama-Arkansas game this past weekend. THAT was bad officiating. Ball-spotting was in Arkansas' favor the entire game, and there were a number of bullshit penalties called against Bama.

The point to made here is that SEC Officials will bend in bama (and Auburn's) direction to benefit them. Here is a borderline call that has to go one way or the other.
