whats the point of a flyin car with wings when there are too many buildings for the wings to hit.. how are those things gonna get out of a driveway when it takes that long to get airborne and I wouldn't exactly call that a flying car thats an airplane that looks like a car and it has wheels. If theyr going to make a flying car, they gotta make it like a helicopter but with out those big ass propellers. this is a good idea but sorry to say this one is a mini airplane, not necessarily a flying car

@xNoSxProductionz I think that since this, they've emphasized it is a roadable aircraft...useful for medium trips that are too short to bother with a jet plane and too long for impatient motorists. They require an airport at each end of the trip, and a "sport flying" license or better. There are apparently thousands of airports in the U.S., but the vast majority of flights go through 27 of them and then many people have to drive hours to and from them.

it is still " roadable" that is bound to be "land vehicles" and it is NOT an aircraft yet... what is the use of the chase plane... it does not show the "flying car" at 5000 ft from the altimeter yet! NO video has been shown yet....IT NEVER climb to sky yet...

that is amazing, but i just can't see the practicality of it... i mean you'd have to land at an airport i assume so that would make airport less efficient for people who don't have those cars. plus unless you fly around 4 times daily you wouldn't save money

it is for larger disntaces - like if you need to fly more than 200km. you avoid all of the traffic...

now that to me seems alot more practical, and is a better idea. they gotta make a long lasting flying car which can be used for long distance travels. but the thing is, you gotta expect people are going to try and use it to go from their home to burger king because thats just how people are. but maybe they will lay a strict law down.

lol BUT!! the united states airforce won't be able to know if a terrorist is comming to attack something, and once again people won't know what the restricted airzones are, and next thing you know you have F-22's comming in and blowing a civilian to hell with a missle :/

This is amazing.

BTW test flights are done in stages. Initially takoffs and landings are tested (with the airplane staying close to ground or in ground effect so it can land in case of problems - SAFETY FIRST). In later stages performance tests will be performed. It takes a long time and costs a lot of money to certify an airplane.

There are a lot of ignorant people posting comments. First, this thing will cost well over 150k, which is more than the average American can buy, plus it takes a pilot's license to legally fly, so idiots are kept out of the sky. Second, this thing is wonderfully convenient since you no longer need to pay for parking at an airport or rent a car after landing, or buy expensive AVGAS to power it.
