I cried twice when I saw this with my two older sisters. (funny how they're in college and I'm almost out of high school) Anyway, I cried when Rapunzel's father had cried and during this part. ;-; And some people were like staring at me, but Its a freaking sad part! How can you not cry?!

this scene is so sad my friends and i were all like what kind of ending is this and we were crying and our guy friends that we dragged along were all rolling their eyes because we're crying and they were making fun of us but then it was happy and they said " of corse it would end that way" way to go disney youve made a good one keep it up.

At this point in the movie, all the little girls in the room were all like: "Mommy, what happened?" And then she started singing, and then one of the (I'm assuming) fathers in the room (BTW, he was sitting close to me and my little sister) was all like: "She stabbed him and now he's going to die, Sweetie". Then the little girl started crying until Flynn woke up. She said: "FLYNN!" And all the other little girls screamed as loud as they could so I couldn't hear the really emotional part. D:

This moment of the film was sure one hell of a triple wham. Four consecutive hard-hitting events led up to this sad version of the healing chant. Had my mouth gaped the whole time. CGI effects aside, this is almost something ol' Walt himself would have made the way he would have made it. So I hope this means that the Disney Company's glory days will be returning soon.

When my mom and I saw this part in the movie, my mom was getting all pissed off and she leaned over toward me and whispered "This better have a happy ending!" and I'm like "Just wait for it." I knew what was gonna happen because I read the book but it was way more emotional than I thought it was gonna be! After the movie was over, I looked over at my mom and said "Well...?" and she said "I loved it!" This movie was great and this scene was very touching!

I didn't cry though.

It was probably one of those books that Disney brings out as merchandise for the film. The story of Rapunzel is an old German fairy tale and there's a bunch of other versions from different places if you want to read about it.

@Maaakaaak It wasn't the hair that healed him in the end. Rapunzel cuts off her hair and it turns brown because it's lost it's magic. It was her tears that healed him. It wasn't the hair that healed him..it was Rapunzel herself.

@tdwtGWENRULES I think that if Rapunzel healed him first, she would feel compelled to keep her promise to Gothel, not giving Flynn a chance TO cut her hair, that or Flynn would have to respect her wanting to keep the promise. Remember what she said at the beginning of the movie when she had Flynn tied up? "And when I promise something, I NEVER break that promise"

@BenedictRoend It technically was the last drop of magic, sort of. It was her all the time, not really her hair, she was just born with it, and it just seemed to be the best thing I guess? XD It's kind of hard to explain, but the best way I can say is, it was always her, not really her hair. x3

@PrincessButtercup128 I don't think the lyrics are out of place with the whole youth thing because remember some of the lyrics are "make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine" that states that the magic makes the clock reverse by reversing the age and bringing back what once was mine is bringing back her youth so do you mean this second set of lyrics doesn't fit because rapunzel was the only one that sang that part not mother gothel if that's wat u mean then i agree with u

I love how the lyrics to this song are a bit vague when you first hear them (they don't seem to fit exactly with the whole youth thing), but then when this happens, it TOTALLY relates EXACTLY to Rapunzel's emotional state about what happened to Flynn and it gives it a whole new meaning.

After watching Tangled tonight, I am having a hard time to choose which one is the best this year? This movie or Toy Story 3? So, I thought that since the Disney company is going for Toy Story 3 to win Best Picture oscar, then Disney's Tangled should win the Best Animated Feature. Or I can simply say that Toy Story 3 and Tangled is my favorite animated films. I'm going to see How To Train Your Dragon and see if it's as everybody else says. What do you guys think?

All of the BEST Disney Movie has that moment that makes you tear up. The Beast Dies, Ariel has to say goodbye to Her father, Bambi's Mom Dies, Aladdin releases Genie, Snow White's Vigil, Aurora Pricks Her Finger, Cinderella weeping in the Garden, Dumbo meet's his mother after she is Incarcerated, Mufasaa Dies, Even Princess and the Frog's Ray dies and Now You can Add Flynn's Death to the list of the heartbreaking yet beautiful moments.
