Incredible visual effects! I love performing at night! and I love the trumpet solo in the Inferno! Interesting song order though. When we did it, we went Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso, and then Ascension. Ascension makes for a great ending. Our colorgaurd didn't even use flags for Purgatorio. It was just interperative dancing, and making like they were trying to get out of barriers made by the hornline. Kinda like man-made cages or cells in a way.

It was okay. I don't know if I liked the adaptation of your opener, THE INFERNO. It was a little too slow, especially since it left a lot of the really hard parts out. It could have picked up tempo a bit. There were also balance problems throughout the band (always follow the bass when crescendoing), and the percussion was off a lot. THE DIVINE COMEDY I can imagine would be a hard show to pull off. It was just okay for me though.

See, now i am going to give some freindly criticism on your band. I really did apprectiate your color guard. They were, for the most part all together(And the outfits were fierce lol). I did enjoy ll of the solos, however i didnt like the movements. There was one point were the band randomly looked at the audience. That move didnt pose any meaning. During the balad i felt like the pit was a little to loud. I would have liked a higher view, just to see the formations. What was that at the end?4*

I agree with you on the pit part in the ballad, it was a bit too loud that night.

This was the highest my dad could get to tape the show that night. They were selling DVDs, he couldn't go up higher in the stands or they'd catch him. :p

The last move was a large diamond that split into 4 or 5 pieces with guard running down the aisles.

well, it wasn't a state year for 4A this year, so there wasn't anything past the region competition. We don't do BOA because there are so many politics going on with it. Basically if you haven't been going for years, you have no chance of making finals. We've only been around for 4 years, so it'd be kind of pointless for us to go.

USSBA is judged a lot like BOA, it puts a lot of weight on visual and general effect. It's kind of like BOA, but without the politics.
