  • im getting all of the recordings i can get from the old nick and showing them to my kids so that they dont have to go without this growing up.

  • cool! at 3:44 its the teeny little super guy from old school sesame street.

  • I think it's geat that you even included the blackout!! hahaha, how frustrating were those!?

  • @springofpiesucks Was "Bosco's Mechanical Man" a Looney Tune or a Merrie Melody?

  • 7:30-7:36 Crazy Machine LOL

  • I was born on January 28 1989

  • Heh...I actually had that Hot Wheels car wash set.

  • @BotmanR same here. and not only was the yellow car useful for the set, but the car wash also worked with many of the Color Racer cars as well.

  • 01:55 Contests like these are just one of the things that made old Nickelodeon great.

  • Love those Classic Nickelodeon bumpers. Looney Tunes on Nickelodeons was pure bliss for me.

  • That basketball coach in the Reebok ad (4:43) looks like Stan Van Gundy.

  • Look at little Fred Savage, and I think that girl is Jenny Lewis from the band Rilo Kiley. Incidently, another one of Rilo Kiley's bandmembers, Blake Senett was on Salute Your Shorts as Ronnie Pinsky.

  • What the holy hell was up with Don Henley's hair???? WOW

  • danm this was in the winter of 1989....I was 3 weird!!!

  • What was Nickelodeon's first show?

  • O WOW I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE WIZARD and Pete and pete wow thnks for doing this man

  • OMFG!!! FINDERS KEEPERS!!! I loved that show! And Nick Arcade and Get the Picture! Aww, bring back the old Nick... was way better!

  • What cartoon was that at 7:32?

  • "Bosco's Mechanical Man" (1933)

  • I'm from Smithtown, NY and that's where the stockign stuffer was located in 1989. I wasn;t even born yet

  • I was 3 in 1989

  • So was I

    Born on April 11, 1986

  • @Eric9233 I was 7 in 1989...

    I'm getting old. Ugh

  • Wow, you're from Smithtown? I'm from Bay Shore, which is about 30 minutes away from Smithtown. I wasn't born yet either. I was born in 1991, so I never got to these commercials on TV. I like watching these nostalgic videos though, because I'm a big fan of classic Nickelodeon and it gives me the chance to see what it was like before I was born.

  • 4:44 - looks like the NES Arch Rivals!

  • @BenJabituya for me, it reminded me of Magic Johnson's Fast Break.

  • 6:33 my favorite part xD

  • I miss Looney Tunes on Nickelodoen. I was 3 at the time/

  • Haha The Wizard.

  • boy do i wish i was there for those days.

  • I didn't know Pete & Pete started as one minute shorts.

  • They use to have those in the 80's but then in the 90s the had their own tv show

  • Cool Cat!! Loved those cartoons :-D

  • What Looney Tunes episode was shown at 4:17?

  • Cool Cat

  • Either the cartoon was "Bugged By a Bee" or "Hippydrome Tiger" or "Three Ring Wing Ding".

  • i know it isn't "Hippydrome Tiger". Cool Cat sounded a bit annoyed so i guess it's "Bugged By A Bee".

  • It was "Bugged By A Bee". I know this 'cause I have a later airing of that cartoon (from June 2, 1996).

  • Thanks!

  • lol, hot wheels car wash. Sounds like so much fun :P

  • Aw man! This takes me right back to twenty years ago! Nickelodeon gave me my first exposure to Looney Tunes and I even remember some of the commercials! This is my kind of nostalgia. Thanks a lot. BRING BACK THE OLD NICK FROM THE 80's AND 90's PEOPLE!

  • Same here. I used to watch Looney Tunes on Nick all the time. One thing I noticed, Looney Tunes on Nick never showed the Warner Bros. intro. I wonder why?

  • They did the same with most of the shows from WB that they would broadcast, including Pinky and the Brain among a few others.

Not sure why though, I assume it to just be a copyright thing but that wouldn't make much sense to me... I'd like to know if anybody has insight on this too.

  • I guess it's for copyright reasons.

  • though i wan't born around the time, i saw on a website about Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon that in circa 1994 the cartoons had their openings and closings intact, along with a new intro

  • I Love that toys R Us Kid Jingle it's funny LOL. and Finders Keeper.s I watched that show on Nick GHAS. It was o nthe air b4 I was evne born.

  • Swamsio. I Use toi watch Fiunders Keepers when It aired on Nick GAS. "Pumping GAS" But they took that block off. and we stop susibleing to Dish Network and got Cable. and I wound't be able to watch NIck gas Anymore. they took that off the air and replaced with Noggin and The N.

  • When Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida closed down, it seemed that they pretty much gave up on Nick GAS. They took most of the shows off the air until there were only 6 shows in rotation. Who wants to watch a channel with only 6 shows? Plus, they kept repeating the same segments over and over again. I used to watch Nick GAS all the time, but stopped watching it because I got tired of seeing the same stuff every day. In a way, I'm glad Nick GAS is gone.

  • This set of commercials aired between December 10 and December 15, 1989.

  • The Wizard was horrible.

  • I remember that RTeebok commercial, I owned the exact color and sneaker in that commercial too.

  • I Watched Finders Keepers on Nikc Gas. Too bad that took off Nick Gas. I had that doll I was 3 at the time. I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I don't remeber the bakers.

    1,443. 27:27

  • I Hatwe how Noggin/The N split into two different channels dropping Nick Gas. Viacom Suckls/

  • FA LA LA LA LA YOU SCROOGE-HEAD.
