There is this bizzare tendecy with thiests to try to convince you that your not truly X, as if convincing me that what I define as X turning out to not be that will some how make me Christian. I mean okay lets say for argument sake they are right and athiesim is Comunisim, does admiting that and no longer calling yourself a athiest some how make you become a Chrsitian? No you just find a new definition that fits what you already believe..

Ah, you'll find this is the EXACT same logic they use to "prove" god. It works on the premise that IF they could refute Darwins theory, they would automatically be correct. In the life of some theists there are ONLY two possibilites. The logic fails sooo badly that I can't even explain the stupidity to them.

Religion and Communism are very similar in someways. Both are locked into rigid ideologies and revere their founders. Both have been known to ignore science when science goes against their theories. Perhaps more dangerous is the fact that both are deterministic: Hard-core proponents of both religion and Communism have been known to commit terrible crimes to further the cause of "history."

Hey dechha I liked the fox news nbc thing you did, I am always hearing people say that msnbc or another channel is biased too and first of all I don't think the bias of any of those other stations are as bad as fox but even if they were pointing out that the other guy is an asshole doesn't make you less of an asshole

As far as I know I don't think Dawkins had anything to do with the bus ads as far as what they said etc. He just supports them. So I don't think an Ad that some organization that he has no say in put up can be considered him going back on anything.

I think we all make thise GOD question very complicated. I simply say, I looked, studied, examined the facts and found no evidence of any god or gods of any kind. All through the ages man has worshipped many idols and men and other forms of what appeared to be a god to them. There are more than 10,000 gods they say recorded in history, to pick any one of them still leaves us at a very small percentage fraction og picking the right one.

Well if you want to get into the history there were multiple attempts at communism prior to 1917. Such as the Paris Commune in 1870, The American Plymouth Colony (not called communist but was pretty much), then there are several Greek city states that had similar systems, But the first state to declare itself communist? Well there were several short lived attempts (that were stomped quickly)
