@holypoop88 Sorry, bro! I just do this as a hobby for myself to make figures I've always wanted but figured they would never make. I also do these if I can find a decent head sculpt for cheap as a starting point and if the rest of the outfit can be assembled fairly easily without having to sew on construct pieces. I'm still waiting to finish off the Unforgiven figure as I have a hat on order that I hope will fit the figure perfectly.
@70humbler Thanks for the kind words on my work so far! I've been putting finishing this off for months even though I had the Apoxie Sculpt sitting around as I just didn't have the nerve to try to use it. I finally got brave enough to finish my Ras Al Ghul which wasn't as hard as I feared, so now I'm trying to tackle my Jules. So far so good..! :-)
@kairus1 Nah, this is my first time other than playing with my kids Play-doh! So far I'm having pretty good luck with it, but I cheated a bit and just used the texture from that MJ headsculpt! This epoxie sculpt dries rock hard within 2-3 hours, so it's not much time to experiment and play with the sculpt to get it right. But so far so good! Let's hope it turns out okay in the end.
@mikeecko1980 Thanks, bro! I can't wait to see how it turns out myself! I might be shooting myself in the foot here, but at least I'm hoping giving you guys some insight into what I'm trying to do and also give you all some ideas, etc! All part of the fun, success or fail...! :-)
@lambo944 It sticks like glue, my friend. Just make sure that when you're sculpting over an object that you press down pretty good. Once it's on there it sticks good! Not sure how it'll do on a glass flat type surface, but I had a small piece of scrap left sitting on my desk that has a clear acrylic sheet over it and even without pressing it down, it stuck to it pretty good and only came off with some bit of prying.
@EivomSeb2011 Aw.. C'mon! You're too kind, sir! Haha..! Thank you thank you! Just trying to share what I can and hopefully give fellow collectors some ideas and maybe some little bit of inspiration to be creative somehow! :-)
@GoliathAngelus I don't think I can do any facial likenesses just yet and I don't really intent to try. I only do these customs when HeadPlay or some other company can put out a cheap sculpt and I can go from there. If I need to, I'll modify the head sculpt as in this case with my Jules or Ras Al Ghul, etc. It's not that big a deal to add some extra clay or paint work to change to look of the head.
@zackzander50 Thanks, man! I'm hoping it turns out great as I'm crossing my fingers here! Again, this is my first time using this stuff other than on the Ras Al Ghul beard! So far so good! Haha..! How's your Deadite coming along? Any luck with the shirt, etc?
Im in love with your Osborne. lol Love the spidey pose. Sabertooth looks amazing. Glad you got Headplays jigsaw head. I finally put mine on a true type. If you remember i just had him on the regular medicom body on my last video. He looks much better now. Im happy putting that Saw 2 jigsaw figure together. But damn i think ima have to ask you to help me when i wanna do this because you are good lol
Awesome!
