thank god it was only the bumper , never force a drift , the drift happens naturally when you switch the weight to the front or over power the rear wheels with a rear wheel drive , the later is the right way to do it .

@venom400 First way you named is called "feint drift" or weight switch, sort of like the scandinavian flick, the second one you named is, on my opinion, not a drift but powerslide, since you are sliding out of the corner with the power of the car spinning the rear tires...there is no "right way" to drift since even Keiichi Tsuchiya and many other professional drifters use handbrake to initiate drifts, and Keiichi has been drifting for 20+ years...

Also it is NOT possible to drift on a FWD car.

I have tried the E-Brake in my s40 and Only on rare occations does the car slide dangerously.

My Dad's Honda will take you into a tree if you are not careful ;)

lol have you tried loosing control of a volvo? its practically impossible, my s60 will never let me loose control no matter what i do to it, took it into a carpark full of snow and the stability system wouldnt let me have any fun, even with it part turned off. (i dont know a way to fully turn it off)

Thats the problem with new cars. In some cars you can't turn of the DSPS(driver's skill preventing system).

Get a Volvo 740 or 240, you cant get a better car.

I have a Volvo 740 GLT 16V and I love it. I have plans on turbo converting it when I've finished school and earn a little more money and then I will start with more serious drifting.

Search for "Volvo 740 drift" and you will find some nice videos.

My S40 200t Turbo5 inline have DSTC, there is no way you can loose control, you even feel rare sensations (seems like if the car stops and accelerate tires following computer guidelines).. BTW in 2006 I can disable the DSTC but in 2007 and on is by default always turned on.
