I am now seeing this vid and its very educational plus u got great hands and foot,..u teach well.I posted a little something on youtube also of myself back to basics. Check it out and hit me up on what u think. The heading is trying out stuff rudimentally, a different approach of things.

  • Yo dude! You are a dope drummer. I've watched your videos thru the years and must say you stepped your game up on presentation and quailty of teaching how to do the licks. If you got a book let me know I'll definitely buy it. Im from the old school almost 40 but Im a full time musician who's trying to step my game up to get better gigs. I really appreciate you for Quality videos. Be blessed bro.

  • I'll all about random fill time (y) ...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA RANDOM FILL HAHAHAHAHAHA NICE DUDE¡¡¡

  • nice bro!!!!

  • Its brothers like yourself that inspire me to be better. A person can be a good drummer, but dont know what it takes to be great. You are doing a great work in the lives of up and coming drummers like myself. Keep up the teaching brother. And God bless you.

  • bro u inspire me to get beasty like yourself!!! off to the set!!!!!

  • Thank you for showing me that i dont always need doubles on the kick to give me a nice gospel fill! i look forward to purchasing your book, GOOD LUCK!

  • Are you Eric Moore ?

  • @IbanezicepOpO oh my god lmao NOOO lol

  • @Thamaddrumma Haha why do you dislike this drummer ? His style is near of yours in my opinion (forget suicidal tendencies)

  • @IbanezicepOpO No thats not it... I just want to sound like ME no one else.

  • @Thamaddrumma good cause I been growin your fan base over here homie. I turned my buddy onto your site here and excact words were.. DANG DUDE IS A BEAST!!!

  • Cool lick lesson man. Greetings from the Philippines. The lick you taught on 5:00 onward sounded familiar to me and when I actually tried it out, it turned out to be a revoiced paradiddle-diddle. I'm definitely gonna be experimenting and having fun with this one. I'm also working on trying out those triplet licks you taught on the first part of the vid.

Hope to see more videos from you soon. Keep drumming.

  • you are one cat that makes trips come alive wish i could hear you talking

  • thanks bro / really helped / great chops

  • There are a lot of bad ass drummers on you-tube, but what sets you apart is that you're bad ass AND know how to teach! Please keep this style of explaining and teaching slowly. If you had a book or DVD I'd buy it right now....hopefully soon.

We appreciate the time you take to get these videos up, thank you.

  • @Funkysouljunkie wow THANKS!! Im in transition right now but as soon as I get settled more vids will come.

  • @Funkysouljunkie wow Thanks!! sorry for the late reply... but thank you.!

  • Awesome vid. I'm not a gospel player, but I'm using these kinds of licks now in my playing, and they sound great! Much thanks for the inspiration.

  • This is Zestfully clean!!

  • I first got hooked on ur shed with track video prolly a year ago, n i still listen to it til this day! I watched dat n around 54 sec - 57 secs. Dat was hot! It's like you did so much throughout da video dat shows ur versitility, but at the sametime it wasn't out of character or context of da song. Then you did dis roll dat started around 2:53 - 3:05. Brought tears to my eyes! Especially da 2nd part of da roll wit da floor tom snare n splash. Keep it kickin n da videos rollin!

  • man thanks for this video, simple stuff that until i learn to calm myself i'll never be able to find in my own playing. but to watch you slow it down it came to me as easy as breathing. you da man mad you da man.

    God Bless

  • GREAT JOB

  • Man, you are awesome! I know howto do RLK... But I'm lost when you bring in RLRLK...can you explain a bit more? Was it RLR-LK, or RLRL-K,or something else? Thanks for the video man~!

  • You're my favorite drummer on youtube

  • great vid.

  • please upload more videos & thanks for this great school))!

  • hey man this video really helped me understand the infamous gospel fills that i always thought would be so hard to play....it doesn't even take that much independence, it's sounds deceivingly hard....thanks for breakin it down, brotha!!

  • break down lick at 44 to 48 sec

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • ive watched this vid well over a dozen times , love it. i been playin long time but never used foot in fills much , this is the kinda stuff i wanna do. been practisin with the metronome n gettin it slow n sure . if you can play like this ur good. ya gotta keep goin but youll be good if you can do this stuff with feel. nice guy the teacher too. ty

  • awesome video, and THANKS for posting the actual sticking, that really helps a lot. keep it up bro!

  • @KickSteady no prob your welcome

  • Ive been checkin out all your videos for some time now. You are off the hook! Id love to see more videos of how you put your rudiment style fills together with your Gospel-ish stuff. Thats really what that style of playing so fascinating. Learning to smoke it with your hands but then being able to run in and out of those 16th note triplet fills. - Any videos explaining how to combine your hands/rudiments with your gospel touch would be excellent! And MUCH thanks for sharing the info!
