Billy West may not be well-known to most mindless, shallow celebrity-worshipers, but he's beloved by his fans, who truly appreciate his awesome talent.
I'd want to be a voice actor, but the problem is that I can't do that many voices cause I'm a girl and for some reason girls just can't change their voice that much, and it sucks!
thats not true look at the simpsons.yeardley smith is the exception but she has an unique voice.but julie cavner,tress mcneal,russi taylor and maggi rosswell, they all got at least three voices each if not more. and its all about imagination and having fun so just t(-;

There's a reason why the best Batman of all-time is Kevin Conroy. Your post brings up when Final Fantasy: TSW wasnt as good as it could have been (and i will balk at saying that it outright sucked). The only actor who turned in a good performace was Steve Buschemi, everyone else sounded like they were picking up a paycheck. And who saw 'Coraline' because Dakota Fanning was in it? Outstanding actress, but c'mon guys...hire voice actors for voice work, okay?
yeah celebrity's should play them selfs. because they are actors not voice actors.they aren't trained for it and when they try it just sounds weird at best.there are exceptions of cause but they are mostly bad.(i have seen all the episodes of the simpsons many times with and without commentators so i know this very well)
I'm talking about people who achieved celebrity status not through there voice acting, people like Owen Wilson getting the lead role in a movie like cars, there are only very few celebrity's who should do voice work as well.
just like puppetry.. it's not "doing the voice" it's performing the character.. the way you move or in this case the way you speak.. does everything for the character

Billy can do tens of hundreds of voices for not a lot of money, but they want to give millions of dollars to freaking Ross from friends to work for them.

Thats so true what he says about celebrities being terrible voice actors. Its sad that him and people like him aren't getting to do voice acting in the big movies.
I'd love to see a video with all the characters that Billy has voiced over the years.
