Wow, All the anger! People call themselves Christian yet they tear each others or other people appart like a pack of wolves that are starving to death. Why? Does it make you feel better to belittle someones faith? Doe's it make you feel more Christ like? What doe's faith mean to you? I thought faith was the belief in something unseen and without proof. Jesus Christ was on the earth right? Wheres the proof! Were's the evidence? Wheres his body or his bones so to say? wheres the D.N.A.? Faith
this has nothing to do with truth. what a pride fueled conversation. if you can show me where christ said to do that in your little bible let me know. even non christians know your a joke mate. if your gonna represent, at least do it looking like someone who isnt gonna steal my wallet. them lads at least put thier money where there mouth is. there out accross the world, sweatn on bikes. your just sweatn over a burger. time to read corinthians 13 buddy
very well said!! the mormons will try and make up tons of excuses i've seen it before and it's ridiculous!!
one very good example on how mormons make stuff up is how they think and say that the bible talks about the book of mormon!. the bible never, NEVER talks about the book of mormon! the mormons are the only ones "who know"! and til' this day the mormons havent show any kind of evidence to back up their ridiculous fairytales!
@MALDITTOROKKERO ,,,,I agree, wheres the artifacts that they pay millions of dollars to have half of Peru dug up,where its claimed that Lehi started a race? Not one thing has ever been found or a trace of of that races excistance.Yet they claim and live and die for that demonic crap.
@MALDITTOROKKERO I talked to some missionaries today. They use Eze 37 out of context talking about 2 sticks becoming one. When read in its own light it means 2 people. When read in light of the NT such as Eph 2:14-15 it means the 2 groups becoming one. That is the mystery of the gospel. They don't seem to care about the lack of archaeological evidence for the BOM, its all based on an esoteric feeling they all have called the burning in the bosom. Its a subjective, not an objective experience.
@MALDITTOROKKERO With how Christianity being a reasonable faith, based in evidence and history I really don't know how they can throw out the fact we are to test all things as the Bareans did in Acts 17 in accordance with verses like 1 Thes 5:21. If they gave the Bible the full credibility it deserved they would have to burn the Book of Mormon.
I dint care who's arguing about the "priesthood",the Bible is all that we need, not another false book. The issue isnt about Priesthood, the issue is that Joeseph Smith was another false antichrist prophet, thats it,and thats all that Mormonism is,I'm not talking about the people, but the Book of Mormon, and ALL that it stands for.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
With all u lame cunts ridiculing the mormon church makes you all just like Lucifer ...thats what Lucifer wants and u stupid cunts believe ur own bullshit.. you cunts dont have faith.. you cunts only feed off information and knowledge.. you might aswell join the Church of Scientology ..those cunts have more of a chance than you dumb fucks. haha..

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ just like the Bible, it dosent mean that the word of God was weak in bible, it means that theres information to add on in the Book of Mormon =)
Since it's birth, the church of Christ and it's apostles was persecuted by both Jews and the Romans, to the extent, that the apostles and many Christian martyrs were killed off before the turn of the first century. With no general authority in place the churches abroad were divided in terms of doctrine, until early in the 3rd century the Roman empire, (for political gain), usurped authority and united the sects into a single creed fused with greek philisophy. Thus was born the Universal Church.
@101mythbuster There has always been corruption in the church, even with Aaron and Moses. Corruption is not a sign of apostasy any more than Aaron worshiping a golden calf.
As for the 'general authority', that is Christ and the Holy Spirit who "will never leave us of forsake us". Christ never left us, the authority has been preserved. Read Hebrews 7, the job of the priesthood (atonement) was fulfilled).
How can the commentator on this video deny the overwhelming evidence in the Bible of preisthood authority being given to the apostles. I will give you one exaple (Acts 1:22) Did Paul not say that Lord " made us PRIESTS and kings unto god" This however, was after the order of Melchezidec, not the order of Aaron(or lesser priesthood) which was intended for the Levites in the administering of the Mosiac covenant. To deny the power of the priesthood is to deny the power of the Gospel unto salvation.
@101mythbuster There are many priests. But the priests which was that of Aaron (ie, the priesthood that Joseph Smith claimed to restore) was given to only one family, that of Aaron (Number 3:10). And the "priesthood" are/were servants ordained by God. The "Royal Priesthood" that Paul talks about was not the priesthood of Aaron, it was a servants role given by the Lord to fulfill the order of God. However the priesthood of Aaron, (of atonement) was fulfilled.

WRONG slu2com! I guess you never learned about the Orthodox Church,or Catholic Church. Christ and his Apostles set up the Church with a 3 fold Priesthood. Bishop(Episcopus) Priest/Elder(Presbyteros), and Deacon(Diakonia/Diakonos).This is FACT found in any history book including the Bible itself. The Priesthood was given after the order of Melchizedek and is for performing the Sacraments such as:Baptism, Chrismation/Confirmation, Eucharist, Marriage, Annointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders.
Wow. I'm an atheist, but I LOVE how the preacherman completely dismantled those two Mormons. By the end, the bespectacled one was flapping his mouth, looking for something to say. His friend had just enough compsure left to shut his friend up and look for the exit. Superb ownage.
@kerster99 The day is coming very soon now that YOU WILL open YOUR eyes and find YOURSELF standing buck-naked at the foot of the Throne of YOUR Creator, Jesus. Please save up YOUR HATE-filled comments for that day. See, Jesus WAS born a full-blooded Jew. Ever meet a full-blooded Jew? I've got some breaking news for ya. They ARE'NT White.
As a matter of fact. I DO KNOW what the Bible teaches. And, UNLIKE YOU, the
black men whom YOU Hate, KNOW EXACTLY what they were speaking about.
in case you guys didnt notice, this dumbass said I BELIEVE he is talking about Galations 1:6-8. This fake dude thinks he knows religion but he doesnt know his own foot. Go complain somewhere else pacino
Total Apostacy.....doesn't just me the people that rejected jesus caused the apostacy.....but that the authority that Christ showed to his apostles was lost.... He teachings, Authority meaning the way things are done were lost.......Jesus and his apsotles were killed and some taken captive
@charlietuaau61 When I read Torah I don't see how the Priests were given much authority. They were servants. Their purpose was to offer atonement. Accoding to Hebrews 7, Christ fulfilled the need for that atonement as "he did this once and for all". The priesthood is with Christ, and He is the ONLY High Priest, just like in the days of old. There was only ever 1 at a time. Josephus stated in a well referenced historical document, there were only 88 total High Priests to the time of Christ
@xcannabiscom But there was only 12 apostles.....and the apostles were all Christ servants....Just like the days of Chirst.....The LDS has 12 apostles.....and Christ did fulfill his purpose....but the LDS don't worship a dead GOD....We believe that Chirst was resurrected....not the one dead on crosses that people worship.....but a living God that still has work to be done
@charlietuaau61 Yes an apostle is "one who is anointed and sent out" we have a lot of apostles. As for there being 12, that is of no significance. As for the :"dead god theory". We worship a risen Lord, where did you get the idea I thought Christ was dead? The cross was very important, and we are humbled by His sacrifice. LDS are lost.

Anybody who watches this video and doesn't see the pride that the so called Georgia preacher has within himself. Then they either don't understand pride, or they are ignorant to the matter.
@edgar21974 and also look at the pride of the pudgy Mormon kid who gets into an insult match with the preacher. They approached HIM, the least they can do is show him some respect. That rolly polly Mormon mouths off over and over.
Timothy 4- 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
@edgar21974 no one is contesting that the Bible forecasts an apostasy. What I contest is that there is any such thing as a "complete apostasy" as Joseph Smith Jr., John Taylor, and Joseph F. Smith speak about. Jesus promised that not even the gates of Hades would prevail against the church. And Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would never leave us. The total apostasy theory doesn't account for that.
11 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

Matt. 16: 19 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Ok so the guy is beating up teenagers. Big deal. These guys are trained for 2 weeks and sent out into the world. If one wants to know the truth of what we believe it takes study just like learning any other faith. Been there and done that Baptist thing and the Lord took me home to the LDS faith. Go find a scholar from BYU and debate them and see what you get.
where bouts they popping off? and how can they have a conversation when the guy keeps on raising his voice, i hate ppl like that..............ignorant cunt
very ignorant, cant people just see that these two guys are just out trying to teach thier religion and yet people critise them and talk over them not allowing them to get a word in.
these guys r probably, what, 20? and the black dude is what, 35? yea who looked like the fool? these dudes do have a lot to learn in life and r probably on thier mission because of thier love for thier church, wots wrong with thatr?
first off all, how was there no need for the restoration when every single religion teaching different things?? the catholic church became very unworthy church at the time around 1560, probably even sooner, hence why the reformation happened and new teachings such as the protestant church and church of england. this is a total apostacy, nobody knows what the true religion is.
the book of morman talks more sense than alot of religious books, why would some random just make up a book like that?
This is totally funny...when the missionary puts his hands out to say good bye, the person who speaks of Jesus and of how much knowledge he knows and spurts out all these bible scriptures doesn't even take it as friendship....This black christian is not christian...he's like any other bible bashing moron who can quote all these scriptures but can't even live or teach the teachings of Jesus Christ...who is the hypocrite here? I know that God lives,Jesus is the Christ and The LDS church is true!

It's simple realy.the LDS Missionaries are in WAY over their head. You have a christian preacher who knows his Bible destroying LDS doctrine. Like I said , simple.
But LDS have some really whacky beliefs, many of which have been disproved already... But I guess Christianity has a lot of weird beliefs too (talking snakes, people in the belly of a fish.) But mormons take the crazy even a step further than that... But most Mormons i have met (haven't met a lot) are very nice, and many Christians i have met are very nice... but in the grand scheme of things, neither seems to be able to provide sufficient evidence
There is only one way of preaching to this hateful man and actually getting through to him. Its very hard to do but its still possible.
You have to Love him completely and sencerely. You have to look past the arrogance. Look at how much his soul really means to God the Father. When you genuinly love this man, and not let him get through to you in anger, thats when you can confound him and shake him. The Elders did flaw because they lost their patience but who wouldnt? I been in same shoes.
Then you mean the catholic church is right? So lets see, The Catholic church say they got the priesthood from Peter.
If this is false then that means the priesthood liniage was broken and thats where the apostocy kicks in with the need of a future restoration through a prophet just like God has done in the past.
I wonder what it would be like if this "preacher" went up against the Lord. He might actually shut up!
Just because man setup religion, doesn't mean G-d approved. There have been an ongoing, non-Roman Catholic Christian faith tradition since Christ. Look up my other video title "Historical Christianity".
The baptists have had a lineage from Christ till now without breach.
WHAT??? the baptists are unheard of until the freedom found in America where it was founded. Dont give me that come on! The Catholic church put all those people to death who didnt beleive in their ways which included protestants and reformers. What makes you think there was no aposticy? Theres prophecies of it in the bible. Numerous ones. I would run out of comment space if I quoted them all.
John the baptist. The baptists are unique in history not by name, but by practice of baptism.
Even St. Patrick refused and taught against infant baptism. St. Patrick was a 'baptist". Not a "protestant" or a "protester". The faith tradition that I speak of pre-dates the Catholic church, and has carried on throughout all of history since Christ without breech.
you do realize that most people now a days teach that. You guys werent the first ones either.
Besides this is about this video. Any honest person who is seeking God could not possibly stand for the way this guy is supposevely preaching to the "White boys." If you think this guy is called of God then you are lying to yourself.
you do realize that the bible had been changed many MANY times to fit what the popes and kings wanted to do, taking many parts out. so who knows if it was actually in there or not back then. even if it wasn't that does not prove it wrong, if you read the book of mormon, you would at the very least understand why we believe what we do....please stop trying to disprove us, it is insulting
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Even Christ's apostles left him when he was taken. Do you think he crucified himself? This argument is just absolutely f***ing retarded. All through the scriptures they talk about the people rejecting Christ.
I know this post was old BUT... Mute definitely missed the point that was made. The Mormon's made a claim that because the people reject Christ they were condemed unless they accepted Chris as their savior and were then redeemed... The pastor makes a VALID point that Christ was being punished by the law for spreading teachings against the Roman empire's will. So, are we condemed because we rejected Christ, or are the Romans condemed because of their law?
I love how everyone is basing everyone that not god like at all. nether is touching little CHILDREN AND MOVING THE EVIL MEN TO ANOTHER CHURCH AND COVERING IT UP. OR the bapists saying believe in jesus and be saved. So if someone like say hitler was baptized and belived in jesus he is going to heaven. Every religions have there faults but gods work is perfect right? your all wrong !
matthew 7: 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' These two verses are meant for LDS and this is why, Galatians 1:8 " But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!" The book of mormon clearly states its "another" testament..
Jeremiah 20:30-32 30Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 31Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 32Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
The main thing that I am finding difficult to understand about mormons, is they can't think for themselves. The LDS church does a good job a brainwashing. Sad.
I think for myself pal. I think the notion of Trinity is silly. I think original sin is cruel. I think that posting videos trying to make another person look stupid for having beliefs different than your own is complete bigotry. I think that as a group - LDS people are some of the brightest and happiest people I have ever met. I think all of this for myself.
You can think whatever you want, we're not debating that. We're debating truth (The Bible) vs. falsehood (the LDS religion, not the people). It's not trying to make anyone look stupid, it's making their beliefs, and the false church look stupid. It's exposing the lies and brainwashing schemes that the LDS church puts into the people who follow it. The LDS is a multi-billion dollar organization. Of course they're happy! And bright too since they make that much money! What are you talking about
How about we talk about catholics beliving that your salvation can be bought with worldly treasures ???? how about praying to marry? how about believing that children are doomed to hell?? how about that?? and also how are you going to say that the lord couldn't hold the priesthood?? in what power did christ heal then??
There are two priesthoods - the Melchizadek which Abraham had and the lesser priesthood - the Aaronic priesthood which Aaron had. The priesthood is a role of servanthood and it is given from God down through his children in an unbroken chain. When someone says he has the Priesthood but did not receive the priesthood from that unbroken chain - he is wrong. The chain was broken by the Romans and there was an apostasy that lasted until Joseph Smith received the priesthood in the mid 1800's.
You can only come to the conclusion that Jesus was God in the flesh by interpreting scripture to suit your understanding. If you had a Prophet and personal revelation you might find a lot of your understanding is inaccurate. These things aren't the most important thing generally - but when you seek out to mock someone and are just wrong you take on the role of the pompous pharisees who eventually voted to kill Jesus. Jesus taught us to love our brothers.
Wow, typical mormon. See, you don't get any information for yourself, it is all the prophet. Nice to know that that is what mormonism is. Secondly, when you close in prayer what do you say? "In Jesus name?"
Joseph Smith was not a prophet, period. There are gifts of prophecy in the NT, but there is no given title of prophet. Second, when you close in Jesus name, who are you praying to? Are you praying to another god, or are you praying to the same God? Unless you are polytheistic, you are praying to the same God, making Jesus God. If you don't believe Jesus is God, you do not follow the Bible, and therefore cannot be considered Christian.
I understand your confusion - I don't believe that Jesus is God. God is a different guy. Jesus said that nobody gets to the Father except through him. That to me doesn't mean he is God or a God for that matter. It to me means that in order to get the atonement I have to go to God behind Jesus who is far greater than I. He is clean and can talk directly to God - I am not so my prayers have to go through him to get to God. That's not polytheism.
In Jesus' prayers for his disciples, and for all believers in John he says "All I have is yours, and all YOU have is MINE." "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you." "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as WE are ONE." Notice that in none of that does it say "one in purpose" it just say "one." Jesus is God. He claims it! I'm not saying this upon "interpretation" I'm saying this based on what Jesus said. Your interpretation is
It says We - which implies two separate beings. You make the leap that the One which is singular is more important than the We which is plural - however in normal language we know that one is usually an adjective that describes something else. One day, one group, one flock, one mind, one guy. I think just reading your quoted words without pulling scripture and researching the Greek - you make my point. It might be hard to see because you can't get outside of yourself.
Outside of myself? You're in a religion that controls your thinking. Let's go through the Trinity again so you can wrap your mind around this. The Trinity is THREE persons in ONE God. So yes, Jesus is one person, and God is one person, note the WE, but the fact is that they are not one in purpose as the LDS teaches, they are in fact one in nature, and Jesus states this very plainly in the verses I gave you. Jesus is God. God the Father, God the Son. GOD the Son. GOD. Period.
I understand the concept of the Trinity - I was raised Lutheran. It's made up. The verses you quoted did not say Trinity - that's man's interpretation and invention. What you need my friend is a Prophet to help you out with this stuff. You get the information from the source.
No, I don't need a prophet because I have the Holy Spirit to guide me and to be my "counselor" as the Bible calls it. No where in the Bible does it specifically state Trinity. But do you know what Trinity means? Tri-three, and unity-oneness. So three in one. The Bible depicts this, does not say it, but depicts it. The LDS false prophets can stay in the false religion. Maybe you should read Galations 1:8.
Lastly, I get my information DIRECTLY from the source, it's called the Bible. It's inspired of God, and infallible, I don't need another book that's false, or a false prophet to tell me falsehoods.
given to you by the "prophets" and not by God. God gives wisdom, Solomon, and if you go into reading the Bible and ask for God to grant you wisdom in your reading you will truly understand what the Word says. When Jesus says "nobody gets to the Father in heaven except through me" it means just that. That you can only have a true relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. However this is another Mormon verse taken out of the context of the Bible. The verse is from John, and we say right
You are right - my knowledge did come to me by way of the prophets who received it from God directly. Your interpretation came from the Pope who stole Christianity in order to re-kindle the Roman Empire. Whatever church you are in - it's just the spawn of that original sinning harlot.
You are adding feeling to your facts and so clouding the meaning of things. nobody gets to the Father except through Jesus refers to the atonement. Your next point - John doesn't say the Word is Jesus Christ.
My interpretation is straight from the Bible. Your interpretation is from "prophets", fake by the way because there is no office of prophet in the New Testament only the gift of prophecy, which means you really haven't looked objectively at the Bible. I was agnostic thank you, so there is no way that my interpretation came from anyone or anything except God and His Word. Lastly, no John doesn't specifically state that the Word is Jesus, however the WHOLE book of John is proving the divinity of
Away in John 1:1 that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Word is Jesus Christ. John shows that Jesus is God. Jesus is also attributed to the creation of the world in the NT, and in Genesis it was God, so we know that this is more evidence that Jesus is in fact God. Don't listen to your "prophets" alone, investigate for yourself with an open mind and open heart, and you will see the truth.
I've investigated plenty - in fact, I was a very big skeptic and quite active in a different church. I had read and believed in the Bible (I still do) Your points are just wrong - and I can agree to disagree with you because neither will convince the other of anything in the end. I researched the BOM and the other texts, and found that Bible + BOM makes more sense than Bible alone. Prior, I sort of had a problem with God's motivation for creating me. It seemed rather silly for him to
I'm speaking this to you out of love ok, you need to get away from the brainwashing cult that is the LDS, and find your way to Christ in the Bible. If you really did your research on the book of Mormon, you would know that the stories were plagiarized from a book at that time, cities and names were plagiarized from cities around JS (within 200 miles) and names were plagiarized from the Bible. You really should've done more research into your religion. Also, the doctrines of the LDS are in total
contradiction with the Bible. Plural marriage? Racism? That is not Christ-like at all, and JS claimed that this was further testimony of Christ? Also, the fact that the BoM is written in King's English like the Bible makes no sense! Why, in 1820 or so, would the book be translated into an outdated language? It would've been understandable, however if you notice in the translations of the Bible, it keeps being translated into the language of the times. Why is something, inspired by the same God,
Plural marriage is in the Bible. Racism too. Joseph Smith did not claim that racism was from Christ. Better go back to your hater class. On the King's English - I don't really know and that's o.k. with me. There are so many good things that I do understand that the few small things I don't aren't a big deal to me. When men translate a translation - things get lost and misinterpreted (like the idea of the Trinity)
Both plural marriage, and racism were NOT inspired by God as Joseph Smith claims. I don't think you understand what goes into translating a new version of the Bible. There are dozens of doctoral members who are more than well versed in Hebrew, Greek, and many other languages, and nothing gets lost, they just have to change the way it was written to fit today's language. I've met many who have actually translated Bibles and you can't comprehend how knowledgeable they are.
Caesar Augustus faking a religion, and I follow it's descendant? And how do you know you're following the true church? How do you know you don't just THINK you're following the true church? I know the true church follows the Bible, and Jesus Christ, and as much as you want to say that the LDS does follow Christ, they don't. They follow JS, BY, and all the other false prophets. If you think you know you follow the true church because of a burning in your bosom experience, remember what the Bible
says, "the heart is deceitfully wicked." You can't trust emotions, you have to trust facts. And facts show that JS was an adulterer (according to Biblical standards), that he plagiarized from a book at the time he was alive and from various cities within 200 miles of his home, and that he does NOT hold the Melchizedek priesthood (which you HAVE to have in order to see God is all his glory), and therefore did NOT see God, and did NOT receive true revelation. The LDS is a false church.
In the book of 2 Nephi does it not state that the descendants of Cain were accursed with a "blackness," and that that blackness is INTERPRETED in Mormon doctrine by Mormon PROPHETS to mean black people? What's funny is that that doctrine has NOT changed, neither has the doctrine of plural marriage! The LDS is a false church!
Jonah was a prophet as well and he got in the way of God's voice. I suspect that when it comes to the curse of Cain being spoken as meaning black people - a little of the human got in the way there too. The doctrine of plural marriage absolutely has changed and I am sure you know that.
create me just for the sake of worshiping me and being nice. Why would God - this omnipotent being need to bother with such an exercise in tedium? It almost seemed petty to me - but I didn't want to go to Hell so I rolled with it. As I studied the BOM - I learned that God sent us here to Earth to return to him (we are his spirit children), and to one day become like him. This makes more sense because he's referred to as the father. I don't think of clay people that I make as my children.
God did not create you simply to worship him! He created you to have a relationship with Him as a son would his father. He even says in the Bible that God disciplines those He loves as a father his son. The fact that you are taught that you can become a god is not Biblical, and makes the religion not Christian. God wants you to come to Him, but He says nothing in the Bible of us becoming gods. This doctrine is completely false!
People used to think of God as kind of this all powerful jerk that we had to fear. In the past 20 years he's been buddyified. If God is omnipotent - he doesn't need to have relationships w simple little mudmen. Silly. God is the father & we are the babies. I am a father - my child will one day grow and become an adult like me. That is what fatherhood is. Otherwise we are more like pets. My dog will never grow into a man. I am not his father.
Doesn't a father want a relationship with his son? That is what God wants! We are not his pets in a terrarium, we are his children. But what do fathers have to do? They have to give free will, and the son will choose whether to reject his father or accept him. God doesn't NEED a relationship with us, He WANTS a relationship with us. God sent his son, and tore the curtain so that we don't have to rely on priests to make sacrifices, but that we can have a true relationship with Him. This is the
difference between Mormonism and Christianity. Christians know that they are nothing without God and that only through faith in Christ can we be saved, but Mormon doctrine says it's all about works. So basically, Mormon doctrine is all about man, and Christian doctrine is all about God.
Faith without works is Dead. If you do no works - then you have no faith. Anyone can lie about faith, but the proof is in the pudding. Jesus didn't just come to Earth and die. Too many "Christians" think that's the case. He came and taught. We are to follow him. If you tell me you believe a room is filled with poison gas and you happily stroll in - I believe you are lying. If you tell me you believe in Christ and then go and commit adultery, you are lying. If you have no charity...
You're absolutely right! But your works DON'T prove your faith, they are an outpouring of your faith. Faith always comes first! NO Christian will confess Christ as their savior, and then just sit on their butt all day thinking that that profession alone will grant them salvation. It's about humbling yourself, knowing that you're not good enough to make it into heaven and that no amount of work you do will get you into heaven, and allowing God to work through you and let his will be done.
That so many Christians miss this tells me Satan is very active and effective in the hearts of many "Christians". I believe that in order to receive the atonement I must follow Christ as best I can - not just say I believe and go against every thing Jesus ever taught. I think that people who are like that are what so many have against organized religion. I love Jesus and I do my best to honor him - because I wear his name about me.
What is going to get you into heaven? Is it works? Because if you say that, you are sadly mistaken. The problem with works is that it is all about us. It's all about what we can do. And when we focus on what we can do, God gets pushed to the back-burner. This isn't right because God is God, he deserves to be in the forefront. If we humble ourselves, and say God nothing I do is good enough, but EVERYTHING YOU do is. So work through me. If you want to truly follow Christ follow what he says "not
my will but YOUR will be done." You will find that you will be happier, feel closer to God then ever before, and you may even be granted with the gift of true prophecy, healing, or the other marvelous gifts of the Spirit.
So what you are saying is I follow Satan because use the Holy Bible alone for learning about Jesus and how to worship my Savior?
Most everything mormons believe contradicts Scripture, so who's the one really following Satan?
I'll stick to the writings of the REAL prophets and Apostles of the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit that is in me. You can follow a corrupt man like Joseph Smith and hopefully one day you will find the real Jesus Christ.
No - of course not. Satan teaches people to judge and mock another. You might be following Satan's influence here - but that is behavior independent of your scriptural studies. It's like when a child is taught to use good manners - but then belches loudly in church and laughs. That's not the parent's influence - it's the child being disobedient.
As far as your assertion that my beliefs contradict scripture - you are just wrong. I believe in Christ, charity, loving my brother (you), & more
That it teaches the saints to follow Christ's teachings makes it absolutely Christian. We just have a better understanding than people who lack Prophets on some of the doctrinal points.
You have no prophet to confirm for you that the doctrine is false - all you have is your experience and bigotry to back you up.
We have bigotry? How about the LDS racism, or the massacre? I don't need a prophet to confirm my doctrine. Not only do I have God, but I have historical and archaeological evidence that PROVES the BIble to be true. The BoM has nothing but emotion. Which again, the Bible states that the heart is deceitfully wicked. What's happening now is that you have nothing but insults to throw at me, and I am attacking the doctrine of the LDS.
Not you in a sense that you could say We - you specifically. I know many non LDS Christians, on Sundays we both go to our churches and don't spend a lot of time looking down at the other. In the end God loves us both just as much and we both try to do our best to follow Him. Outright judging someone the way the anti-mormon folks do is bigotry and not of Christ. The video is about some jerks being mean to a couple of boys. That's not Christ like, is it?
@mruglyhands- Do you not believe that the Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion.?
I don't believe these guys are jerks, they were standing up for the Holy Bible. What did the mormon kid try to hand the guy? Not the Bible. You go around pushing your book of mormon on people, and people like me defend our faith by what the Bible says. God is not in a box, He is everywhere. Jesus is King and the only way to the Father. I pray you know Him.
Here's the crazy thing...one, I am not judging you, or any single person in the LDS. I am judging the LDS church, and Joseph Smith. The video is about exposing false doctrine which is EXTREMELY Christ-like! Read the Bible and hear how horribly Jesus talks about false teachers. He even at one point says that it would be better for someone to tie a millstone to his neck and jump in the sea than to lead one of God's children astray. So again it IS Christ-like to attack false doctrine and expose
Paul was very very very clear about what to do when confronted with false doctrine. I don't know what you mean by "judging." We shouldn't make judgments about people, but we were taught very clearly in the Bible to recognize what false and true doctrine is and to condemn it if it is false.
Being Christlike and loving isn't just accepting others. Not all churches are good. And many churches teach false doctrine that is evil. This is according to Paul.
How are they not Christians? Really? Their doctrines are almost opposite of each other! The BoM teaches polytheism, and the Bible teaches monotheism. The Mormon doctrine still includes polygamy, the BoM cannot be backed up by any kind of history like the Bible. I mean come on man.
When did I say that? I told you what your religion teaches. If you don't believe in their doctrine, then I would say you're not Mormon. But that is what their doctrine and holy book teaches. I said nothing about what you believe.
The Bible doesn't really broach the subject of Monotheism without interpretation. When we are commanded to have no other God before Him - that doesn't say there aren't other Gods - it just says He has claimed us as his. It's a trivial point.
You're right, there are many gods. But they are not the gods we should follow. Deuteronomy 6:4 states "the Lord your God is one." I'm gonna say that that's monotheism.
I am one in purpose with my assistant at work. We have the same goals and do not contradict one another. That is not monomanagerialism. The Lord my God is one means that he is never changing. It doesn't in any way say that Christ (someone else) is him; neither the Holy Ghost. I have 1 God - it's the same guy you pray to. I know that Jesus is another being as is the Holy Spirit - they are not my Gods, however they assist my God - as do I when through good works.
"and that LDS claim to be the only church that has this authority."
Really!?? Says who, Joseph Smith and his visitations by Satan? I see a common thread here with that claim by the Jehovah Witness. Here we go again, some tool gets a so called vision and the whole Bible gets redone.
I believe it was Jesus who said Heaven and Earth will pass away but my word never will.
I really hope many more Mormons will come out of this false religion!
That is an evil hope. It isn't a false religion - it is the restored Church of Jesus Christ as predicted in the book of Revelations. Towards the end of Jesus' life - many Jews were against Christ and later called Christianity a false religion. There's not too much different with them not believing on Christ as there is with you not believing on Chrst's restored church.
Stay in your cult and you will never find the truth. The Bible is the only authority on God's word. Not Joseph Smith, not the RCC, not Charles Russell, not Ellen White, and so on...... Keep following man's teachings and you will be lost forever. Follow Jesus Christ and His word and you will find life!
That's silly. The Bible is a gathering of scriptures that was translated and put together by man. Men made the judgement of what to keep and what to toss and I believe it is possible that those decisions could have been biased. God surely influenced the writing of most of it - but you don't really know. Joseph Smith received scriptures from Holy Prophets of Old and translated them with power from God. I absolutely do follow Jesus Christ and His word to the best of my ability.
Actually we do know, because you see in the OT that the books of the prophets start with, or include "I was in the spirit" or something similar. Men chose the canon, however it took a very long time with prayer and they got it correct. However, JS's "power from God" was a stone in a hat. Really? I don't know if it's in your Holy books, but I know your doctrine teaches that God had physical sex with mary to conceive Jesus. Which is against Christianity.
I was in the spirit when I found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the one and only restored true church of Jesus Christ as predicted in the book of Revelations. By your logic - I have just prophesied to you - so I'll see you at church Sunday:)
Let me ask you something? How do you know that the LDS church is true? A feeling in your bosom? You know that the Bible teaches that the heart is "deceitfully wicked?" So by the Bibles standards, how do you really know that the church is true? Second, why did the church need to be restored? And what church are you talking about in the book of Revelation?
Well friend - I can't say as I did have a feeling in my bosom that I recall. I studied the Book of Mormon, the D&C and the Pearl of Great Price and found that I believed it after a lot of debate and thought.
The church needed to be restored because the Romans killed it by killing the apostles and then dressing up in fancy clothes and claiming the church for themselves. Their murder of Christ's church is the apostacy. All the churches that spawned from Catholicism are built on a bad foundation
How many churches spawned from Catholicism? None, they BROKE AWAY from it. So, JS had no need for a restoration of the church. How about the fact that JS claimed the Melchizedek priesthood that only Christ could obtain. If JS can't obtain it, then he did NOT see God, therefore the LDS is FALSE. I don't know what you need to know that this is a false religion.
Also, you know that JS claimed that he "heard from God" about plural marriage AFTER he was already practicing it? I'm doing this out of love, because if you stay in this religion you are going to continue to be led astray. Go to whoever you need to go to, and talk to them about the Melchizedek priesthood, and read Hebrews and you will know that know one but Melchizedek and Christ could obtain that priesthood.
Why does the Gospel need to be restored? None of this makes any sense if you look at it. The Gospel is complete, it was inspired by God, so there shouldn't be any need for restoration. If there is, then that means that the LDS is saying God made a mistake. How could a perfect being make a mistake?
Because the Romans stole Christianity and transformed it to fit their purposes. They killed the apostles who were the only holders of the keys of the church. The Gospel was complete - but it was molded by man - that's what made it imperfect. It was prophesied that God would restore the Gospel in the end times - and he did.
Where was that prophesied? The Romans may have "stole" Christianity, however the Gospels have remained the same. The Gospels therefore don't need restoration.
Mormons, Jehovah Witness, SDA, etc...., they all have one common theme. They all think they are the one true church. They all have been fooled by Satan. It amazes me how many cults trick there followers into believing that the Bible can't be completely trusted. Well then who has the authority to pick and choose what is truth? Joseph Smith had a revelation, Ellen White had a revelation, Russell had a revelation. What makes Mormon more correct than JW?
Hey, The verse that he was referring to was in 2nd John verse 10. The one that you thought was in Galations 1. Although Gal. is a good cross reference.
Jesus couldn't hold the priesthood? The priesthood is the power authority to act in God's behalf. It's blasphemous to suggest that he couldn't hold the priesthood. John 3:22 says that he and his disciples baptized believers; John 15:16 says that chose and ordained his apostles... and numerous times he healed people. clearly he did have the priesthood. this preacher wasn't exactly classy. he closes by not shaking the one elder's hand and then he says 'i don't care what you know.'
Clearly you are confused about what the priesthood is all about. There were priests of the law, there were priests of atonement, and there were priests of the altar.
A "priest" does not have all authority of God. A priests role is that of a servant of God. One ordained to do God's service.
But God made certain covenants with certain tribes. Which is why Jesus couldn't be priest on earth, Hebrews 8:4. He was of the wrong tribe.
Heb 6:20: "even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." he wasn't a priest after the levitical order, but after the melchisedec order. Hebrew 7:11-22 (and beyond) explains that there was a need for another priesthood....
Heb 5:10 also says that he was a high priest... i'm sure i could find many other scriptures mentioning his priesthood power. honestly though, this isn't even debatable in my mind - so i'm not going to worry about it.
Until you guys can spell the word "apostasy" correctly then I will take this movie seriously. Come on at least most members of Jesus Christ's church can spell. This is half a joke, but honestly I don't see how you can say that the Book of Mormon has been perverted. Honestly, anyone who says that has not read the book that testifies of Jesus Christ.
Very witty, however my typo (since I have a sister named Stacy, kinda happens every now and then), doesn't prove your point in the least. Not that you really even had a point.
I tend to agree. Christ knew what would happen and that the Father's will was being fullfilled. Interesting discussions here on your videos. Glad I stumbled across. I'll keep watching.
Faith

very well said!! the mormons will try and make up tons of excuses i've seen it before and it's ridiculous!!
one very good example on how mormons make stuff up is how they think and say that the bible talks about the book of mormon!. the bible never, NEVER talks about the book of mormon! the mormons are the only ones "who know"! and til' this day the mormons havent show any kind of evidence to back up their ridiculous fairytales!

Gavilanes65 9 months ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO I talked to some missionaries today. They use Eze 37 out of context talking about 2 sticks becoming one. When read in its own light it means 2 people. When read in light of the NT such as Eph 2:14-15 it means the 2 groups becoming one. That is the mystery of the gospel. They don't seem to care about the lack of archaeological evidence for the BOM, its all based on an esoteric feeling they all have called the burning in the bosom. Its a subjective, not an objective experience.
colinb890 9 months ago
@MALDITTOROKKERO With how Christianity being a reasonable faith, based in evidence and history I really don't know how they can throw out the fact we are to test all things as the Bareans did in Acts 17 in accordance with verses like 1 Thes 5:21. If they gave the Bible the full credibility it deserved they would have to burn the Book of Mormon.
colinb890 9 months ago
I dint care who's arguing about the "priesthood",the Bible is all that we need, not another false book. The issue isnt about Priesthood, the issue is that Joeseph Smith was another false antichrist prophet, thats it,and thats all that Mormonism is,I'm not talking about the people, but the Book of Mormon, and ALL that it stands for.

101mythbuster 1 year ago
@101mythbuster There has always been corruption in the church, even with Aaron and Moses. Corruption is not a sign of apostasy any more than Aaron worshiping a golden calf.
As for the 'general authority', that is Christ and the Holy Spirit who "will never leave us of forsake us". Christ never left us, the authority has been preserved. Read Hebrews 7, the job of the priesthood (atonement) was fulfilled).
slu2com 1 year ago
How can the commentator on this video deny the overwhelming evidence in the Bible of preisthood authority being given to the apostles. I will give you one exaple (Acts 1:22) Did Paul not say that Lord " made us PRIESTS and kings unto god" This however, was after the order of Melchezidec, not the order of Aaron(or lesser priesthood) which was intended for the Levites in the administering of the Mosiac covenant. To deny the power of the priesthood is to deny the power of the Gospel unto salvation.
101mythbuster 1 year ago

Total Apostacy.....doesn't just me the people that rejected jesus caused the apostacy.....but that the authority that Christ showed to his apostles was lost.... He teachings, Authority meaning the way things are done were lost.......Jesus and his apsotles were killed and some taken captive
charlietuaau61 1 year ago

Timothy 4- 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
edgar21974 1 year ago
@edgar21974 no one is contesting that the Bible forecasts an apostasy. What I contest is that there is any such thing as a "complete apostasy" as Joseph Smith Jr., John Taylor, and Joseph F. Smith speak about. Jesus promised that not even the gates of Hades would prevail against the church. And Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would never leave us. The total apostasy theory doesn't account for that.

No need for the RESTORATION????
Then you mean the catholic church is right? So lets see, The Catholic church say they got the priesthood from Peter.
If this is false then that means the priesthood liniage was broken and thats where the apostocy kicks in with the need of a future restoration through a prophet just like God has done in the past.
I wonder what it would be like if this "preacher" went up against the Lord. He might actually shut up!
Origin305 1 year ago
Just because man setup religion, doesn't mean G-d approved. There have been an ongoing, non-Roman Catholic Christian faith tradition since Christ. Look up my other video title "Historical Christianity".
The baptists have had a lineage from Christ till now without breach.
slu2com 1 year ago
@slu2com
WHAT??? the baptists are unheard of until the freedom found in America where it was founded. Dont give me that come on! The Catholic church put all those people to death who didnt beleive in their ways which included protestants and reformers. What makes you think there was no aposticy? Theres prophecies of it in the bible. Numerous ones. I would run out of comment space if I quoted them all.
Origin305 1 year ago
John the baptist. The baptists are unique in history not by name, but by practice of baptism.
Even St. Patrick refused and taught against infant baptism. St. Patrick was a 'baptist". Not a "protestant" or a "protester". The faith tradition that I speak of pre-dates the Catholic church, and has carried on throughout all of history since Christ without breech.
Read your history.

you do realize that most people now a days teach that. You guys werent the first ones either.
Besides this is about this video. Any honest person who is seeking God could not possibly stand for the way this guy is supposevely preaching to the "White boys." If you think this guy is called of God then you are lying to yourself.
Origin305 1 year ago
You want to know what the book of mormon teaches about INFANT baptism??
15 For awful is the wickedness to suppose that God saveth one child because of baptism, and the other must perish because he hath no baptism.
Origin305 1 year ago
Thats not much more impressive to me than if L. Ron Hubbard himself wrote that into Battlefield Earth.
One thing I was puzzled by, is how willing Mitt Romney was, to claim "Battlefield Earth" as his favorite book.
Joseph Smith and L. Ron Hubbard. Two pees in a pod.

you do realize that the bible had been changed many MANY times to fit what the popes and kings wanted to do, taking many parts out. so who knows if it was actually in there or not back then. even if it wasn't that does not prove it wrong, if you read the book of mormon, you would at the very least understand why we believe what we do....please stop trying to disprove us, it is insulting

The people rejected christ
St John chapter 1
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Even Christ's apostles left him when he was taken. Do you think he crucified himself? This argument is just absolutely f***ing retarded. All through the scriptures they talk about the people rejecting Christ.
Mute5916 2 years ago

I think all of this for myself.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
You can think whatever you want, we're not debating that. We're debating truth (The Bible) vs. falsehood (the LDS religion, not the people). It's not trying to make anyone look stupid, it's making their beliefs, and the false church look stupid. It's exposing the lies and brainwashing schemes that the LDS church puts into the people who follow it. The LDS is a multi-billion dollar organization. Of course they're happy! And bright too since they make that much money! What are you talking about

How about we talk about catholics beliving that your salvation can be bought with worldly treasures ???? how about praying to marry? how about believing that children are doomed to hell?? how about that?? and also how are you going to say that the lord couldn't hold the priesthood?? in what power did christ heal then??
tse93s 2 years ago
You ask "also how are you going to say that the Lord couldn't hold the priesthood?? in what power did christ heal then??"
1. I believe Christ ALONE does have the priesthood now, just not while He was on earth, read Hebrews 8:4. Christ is from the wrong tribe.
2. How did Christ heal? By the Power of God! Healing doesn't have anything to do with the priesthood.
slu2com 2 years ago
Mormons have the most warped idea of the Priesthood that I have EVER heard from anyone.
Do you know what the priesthood is? It is a role of servanthood. Serving God in one of two areas.
1. The Priesthood of the law
2. The Priesthood of atonement
There isn't a priesthood of 'healing'.
Jesus was God in the flesh. Enough said.
slu2com 2 years ago
There are two priesthoods - the Melchizadek which Abraham had and the lesser priesthood - the Aaronic priesthood which Aaron had. The priesthood is a role of servanthood and it is given from God down through his children in an unbroken chain. When someone says he has the Priesthood but did not receive the priesthood from that unbroken chain - he is wrong. The chain was broken by the Romans and there was an apostasy that lasted until Joseph Smith received the priesthood in the mid 1800's.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
You can only come to the conclusion that Jesus was God in the flesh by interpreting scripture to suit your understanding. If you had a Prophet and personal revelation you might find a lot of your understanding is inaccurate. These things aren't the most important thing generally - but when you seek out to mock someone and are just wrong you take on the role of the pompous pharisees who eventually voted to kill Jesus. Jesus taught us to love our brothers.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Wow, typical mormon. See, you don't get any information for yourself, it is all the prophet. Nice to know that that is what mormonism is. Secondly, when you close in prayer what do you say? "In Jesus name?"
tkoch25 2 years ago
You're goofy - did you get your scripture directly from God? No - prophets brought God's word to the people and scribes wrote it down.
Secondly - Yes - I (and all Mormon's) close our prayers in Jesus' name - every single time. It's an invalid prayer without that.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Joseph Smith was not a prophet, period. There are gifts of prophecy in the NT, but there is no given title of prophet. Second, when you close in Jesus name, who are you praying to? Are you praying to another god, or are you praying to the same God? Unless you are polytheistic, you are praying to the same God, making Jesus God. If you don't believe Jesus is God, you do not follow the Bible, and therefore cannot be considered Christian.
tkoch25 2 years ago
I understand your confusion - I don't believe that Jesus is God. God is a different guy. Jesus said that nobody gets to the Father except through him. That to me doesn't mean he is God or a God for that matter. It to me means that in order to get the atonement I have to go to God behind Jesus who is far greater than I. He is clean and can talk directly to God - I am not so my prayers have to go through him to get to God. That's not polytheism.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
In Jesus' prayers for his disciples, and for all believers in John he says "All I have is yours, and all YOU have is MINE." "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you." "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as WE are ONE." Notice that in none of that does it say "one in purpose" it just say "one." Jesus is God. He claims it! I'm not saying this upon "interpretation" I'm saying this based on what Jesus said. Your interpretation is
tkoch25 2 years ago
It says We - which implies two separate beings. You make the leap that the One which is singular is more important than the We which is plural - however in normal language we know that one is usually an adjective that describes something else. One day, one group, one flock, one mind, one guy. I think just reading your quoted words without pulling scripture and researching the Greek - you make my point. It might be hard to see because you can't get outside of yourself.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Outside of myself? You're in a religion that controls your thinking. Let's go through the Trinity again so you can wrap your mind around this. The Trinity is THREE persons in ONE God. So yes, Jesus is one person, and God is one person, note the WE, but the fact is that they are not one in purpose as the LDS teaches, they are in fact one in nature, and Jesus states this very plainly in the verses I gave you. Jesus is God. God the Father, God the Son. GOD the Son. GOD. Period.
tkoch25 2 years ago
I understand the concept of the Trinity - I was raised Lutheran. It's made up. The verses you quoted did not say Trinity - that's man's interpretation and invention. What you need my friend is a Prophet to help you out with this stuff. You get the information from the source.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
No, I don't need a prophet because I have the Holy Spirit to guide me and to be my "counselor" as the Bible calls it. No where in the Bible does it specifically state Trinity. But do you know what Trinity means? Tri-three, and unity-oneness. So three in one. The Bible depicts this, does not say it, but depicts it. The LDS false prophets can stay in the false religion. Maybe you should read Galations 1:8.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Lastly, I get my information DIRECTLY from the source, it's called the Bible. It's inspired of God, and infallible, I don't need another book that's false, or a false prophet to tell me falsehoods.
tkoch25 2 years ago
given to you by the "prophets" and not by God. The verse is from John, and we say right
tkoch25 2 years ago
You are right - my knowledge did come to me by way of the prophets who received it from God directly. Your interpretation came from the Pope who stole Christianity in order to re-kindle the Roman Empire. Whatever church you are in - it's just the spawn of that original sinning harlot.
You are adding feeling to your facts and so clouding the meaning of things. nobody gets to the Father except through Jesus refers to the atonement. Your next point - John doesn't say the Word is Jesus Christ.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
My interpretation is straight from the Bible. Your interpretation is from "prophets", fake by the way because there is no office of prophet in the New Testament only the gift of prophecy, which means you really haven't looked objectively at the Bible. I was agnostic thank you, so there is no way that my interpretation came from anyone or anything except God and His Word. Lastly, no John doesn't specifically state that the Word is Jesus, however the WHOLE book of John is proving the divinity of
tkoch25 2 years ago
Jesus Christ, therefore, IN CONTEXT, we know that the Word is in fact Jesus Christ, and throughout the book John references this fact.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Away in John 1:1 that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Word is Jesus Christ. John shows that Jesus is God. Jesus is also attributed to the creation of the world in the NT, and in Genesis it was God, so we know that this is more evidence that Jesus is in fact God. Don't listen to your "prophets" alone, investigate for yourself with an open mind and open heart, and you will see the truth.
tkoch25 2 years ago
I've investigated plenty - in fact, I was a very big skeptic and quite active in a different church. I had read and believed in the Bible (I still do) Your points are just wrong - and I can agree to disagree with you because neither will convince the other of anything in the end. I researched the BOM and the other texts, and found that Bible + BOM makes more sense than Bible alone. Prior, I sort of had a problem with God's motivation for creating me. It seemed rather silly for him to
mruglyhands 2 years ago
I'm speaking this to you out of love ok, you need to get away from the brainwashing cult that is the LDS, and find your way to Christ in the Bible. If you really did your research on the book of Mormon, you would know that the stories were plagiarized from a book at that time, cities and names were plagiarized from cities around JS (within 200 miles) and names were plagiarized from the Bible. You really should've done more research into your religion. Also, the doctrines of the LDS are in total
tkoch25 2 years ago
contradiction with the Bible. Why is something, inspired by the same God,
tkoch25 2 years ago
Plural marriage is in the Bible. Racism too. Joseph Smith did not claim that racism was from Christ. Better go back to your hater class. On the King's English - I don't really know and that's o.k. with me. There are so many good things that I do understand that the few small things I don't aren't a big deal to me. When men translate a translation - things get lost and misinterpreted (like the idea of the Trinity)
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Both plural marriage, and racism were NOT inspired by God as Joseph Smith claims. I don't think you understand what goes into translating a new version of the Bible. There are dozens of doctoral members who are more than well versed in Hebrew, Greek, and many other languages, and nothing gets lost, they just have to change the way it was written to fit today's language. I've met many who have actually translated Bibles and you can't comprehend how knowledgeable they are.
tkoch25 2 years ago
It's ok with you that Joseph Smith faked a religion? That's sad my friend.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Caeser Augustus faked a religion and you follow it's descendant. I follow the true Church of Christ.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Caesar Augustus faking a religion, and I follow it's descendant? And how do you know you're following the true church? How do you know you don't just THINK you're following the true church? I know the true church follows the Bible, and Jesus Christ, and as much as you want to say that the LDS does follow Christ, they don't. They follow JS, BY, and all the other false prophets. If you think you know you follow the true church because of a burning in your bosom experience, remember what the Bible
tkoch25 2 years ago
says, "the heart is deceitfully wicked." You can't trust emotions, you have to trust facts. The LDS is a false church.
tkoch25 2 years ago
In the book of 2 Nephi does it not state that the descendants of Cain were accursed with a "blackness," and that that blackness is INTERPRETED in Mormon doctrine by Mormon PROPHETS to mean black people? What's funny is that that doctrine has NOT changed, neither has the doctrine of plural marriage! The LDS is a false church!
tkoch25 2 years ago
Jonah was a prophet as well and he got in the way of God's voice. I suspect that when it comes to the curse of Cain being spoken as meaning black people - a little of the human got in the way there too. The doctrine of plural marriage absolutely has changed and I am sure you know that.

I would suggest you read D&C 132 58-66. Don't allow the LDS to lie to you. Especially read 61 and 62. It says that you can have TEN wives!!!
tkoch25 2 years ago
create me just for the sake of worshiping me and being nice. I don't think of clay people that I make as my children.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
God did not create you simply to worship him! He created you to have a relationship with Him as a son would his father. He even says in the Bible that God disciplines those He loves as a father his son. The fact that you are taught that you can become a god is not Biblical, and makes the religion not Christian. God wants you to come to Him, but He says nothing in the Bible of us becoming gods. This doctrine is completely false!
tkoch25 2 years ago
People used to think of God as kind of this all powerful jerk that we had to fear. In the past 20 years he's been buddyified. If God is omnipotent - he doesn't need to have relationships w simple little mudmen. Silly. God is the father & we are the babies. I am a father - my child will one day grow and become an adult like me. That is what fatherhood is. Otherwise we are more like pets. My dog will never grow into a man. I am not his father.
mruglyhands 2 years ago

So basically, Mormon doctrine is all about man, and Christian doctrine is all about God.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Faith without works is Dead. If you do no works - then you have no faith. Anyone can lie about faith, but the proof is in the pudding. Jesus didn't just come to Earth and die. Too many "Christians" think that's the case. He came and taught. We are to follow him. If you tell me you believe a room is filled with poison gas and you happily stroll in - I believe you are lying. If you tell me you believe in Christ and then go and commit adultery, you are lying. If you have no charity...
mruglyhands 2 years ago 2
You're absolutely right! But your works DON'T prove your faith, they are an outpouring of your faith. Faith always comes first! NO Christian will confess Christ as their savior, and then just sit on their butt all day thinking that that profession alone will grant them salvation. It's about humbling yourself, knowing that you're not good enough to make it into heaven and that no amount of work you do will get you into heaven, and allowing God to work through you and let his will be done.
tkoch25 2 years ago
That so many Christians miss this tells me Satan is very active and effective in the hearts of many "Christians". I believe that in order to receive the atonement I must follow Christ as best I can - not just say I believe and go against every thing Jesus ever taught. I think that people who are like that are what so many have against organized religion. I love Jesus and I do my best to honor him - because I wear his name about me.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
What is going to get you into heaven? Is it works? Because if you say that, you are sadly mistaken. The problem with works is that it is all about us. It's all about what we can do. And when we focus on what we can do, God gets pushed to the back-burner. This isn't right because God is God, he deserves to be in the forefront. If we humble ourselves, and say God nothing I do is good enough, but EVERYTHING YOU do is. So work through me. If you want to truly follow Christ follow what he says "not
tkoch25 2 years ago
my will but YOUR will be done." You will find that you will be happier, feel closer to God then ever before, and you may even be granted with the gift of true prophecy, healing, or the other marvelous gifts of the Spirit.
tkoch25 2 years ago
So what you are saying is I follow Satan because use the Holy Bible alone for learning about Jesus and how to worship my Savior?
Most everything mormons believe contradicts Scripture, so who's the one really following Satan?
I'll stick to the writings of the REAL prophets and Apostles of the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit that is in me. You can follow a corrupt man like Joseph Smith and hopefully one day you will find the real Jesus Christ.
oldno74 2 years ago
No - of course not. Satan teaches people to judge and mock another. You might be following Satan's influence here - but that is behavior independent of your scriptural studies. It's like when a child is taught to use good manners - but then belches loudly in church and laughs. That's not the parent's influence - it's the child being disobedient.
As far as your assertion that my beliefs contradict scripture - you are just wrong. I believe in Christ, charity, loving my brother (you), & more
mruglyhands 2 years ago
That it teaches the saints to follow Christ's teachings makes it absolutely Christian. We just have a better understanding than people who lack Prophets on some of the doctrinal points.
You have no prophet to confirm for you that the doctrine is false - all you have is your experience and bigotry to back you up.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
We have bigotry? How about the LDS racism, or the massacre? I don't need a prophet to confirm my doctrine. Not only do I have God, but I have historical and archaeological evidence that PROVES the BIble to be true. The BoM has nothing but emotion. Which again, the Bible states that the heart is deceitfully wicked. What's happening now is that you have nothing but insults to throw at me, and I am attacking the doctrine of the LDS.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Not you in a sense that you could say We - you specifically. I know many non LDS Christians, on Sundays we both go to our churches and don't spend a lot of time looking down at the other. In the end God loves us both just as much and we both try to do our best to follow Him. Outright judging someone the way the anti-mormon folks do is bigotry and not of Christ. The video is about some jerks being mean to a couple of boys. That's not Christ like, is it?
mruglyhands 2 years ago
@mruglyhands- Do you not believe that the Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion.?
I don't believe these guys are jerks, they were standing up for the Holy Bible. What did the mormon kid try to hand the guy? Not the Bible. You go around pushing your book of mormon on people, and people like me defend our faith by what the Bible says. God is not in a box, He is everywhere. Jesus is King and the only way to the Father. I pray you know Him.
oldno74 2 years ago

Should we love false doctrine?

How are they not Christians? Really? Their doctrines are almost opposite of each other! The BoM teaches polytheism, and the Bible teaches monotheism. The Mormon doctrine still includes polygamy, the BoM cannot be backed up by any kind of history like the Bible. I mean come on man.
tkoch25 2 years ago

tse93s 2 years ago
When did I say that? I told you what your religion teaches. If you don't believe in their doctrine, then I would say you're not Mormon. But that is what their doctrine and holy book teaches. I said nothing about what you believe.
tkoch25 2 years ago
The Bible doesn't really broach the subject of Monotheism without interpretation. When we are commanded to have no other God before Him - that doesn't say there aren't other Gods - it just says He has claimed us as his. It's a trivial point.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
You're right, there are many gods. But they are not the gods we should follow. Deuteronomy 6:4 states "the Lord your God is one." I'm gonna say that that's monotheism.
tkoch25 2 years ago

I really hope many more Mormons will come out of this false religion!
oldno74 2 years ago
That is an evil hope. It isn't a false religion - it is the restored Church of Jesus Christ as predicted in the book of Revelations. Towards the end of Jesus' life - many Jews were against Christ and later called Christianity a false religion. There's not too much different with them not believing on Christ as there is with you not believing on Chrst's restored church.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Stay in your cult and you will never find the truth. The Bible is the only authority on God's word. Not Joseph Smith, not the RCC, not Charles Russell, not Ellen White, and so on...... Keep following man's teachings and you will be lost forever. Follow Jesus Christ and His word and you will find life!
oldno74 2 years ago
That's silly. The Bible is a gathering of scriptures that was translated and put together by man. Men made the judgement of what to keep and what to toss and I believe it is possible that those decisions could have been biased. God surely influenced the writing of most of it - but you don't really know. Joseph Smith received scriptures from Holy Prophets of Old and translated them with power from God. I absolutely do follow Jesus Christ and His word to the best of my ability.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Actually we do know, because you see in the OT that the books of the prophets start with, or include "I was in the spirit" or something similar. Men chose the canon, however it took a very long time with prayer and they got it correct. However, JS's "power from God" was a stone in a hat. Really? I don't know if it's in your Holy books, but I know your doctrine teaches that God had physical sex with mary to conceive Jesus. Which is against Christianity.

Ok - you believe and that's your basis. I can't argue with or fault you on that point. No problem.
That actually isn't in our doctrine - but your last sentence was intriguing to me. Why do you say that?

I was in the spirit when I found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the one and only restored true church of Jesus Christ as predicted in the book of Revelations. By your logic - I have just prophesied to you - so I'll see you at church Sunday:)

Let me ask you something? How do you know that the LDS church is true? A feeling in your bosom? You know that the Bible teaches that the heart is "deceitfully wicked?" So by the Bibles standards, how do you really know that the church is true? Second, why did the church need to be restored? And what church are you talking about in the book of Revelation?
tkoch25 2 years ago

I don't know what you need to know that this is a false religion.
tkoch25 2 years ago
Also, you know that JS claimed that he "heard from God" about plural marriage AFTER he was already practicing it? I'm doing this out of love, because if you stay in this religion you are going to continue to be led astray. Go to whoever you need to go to, and talk to them about the Melchizedek priesthood, and read Hebrews and you will know that know one but Melchizedek and Christ could obtain that priesthood.

Restoration of the Gospel.
mruglyhands 2 years ago
Why does the Gospel need to be restored? None of this makes any sense if you look at it. The Gospel is complete, it was inspired by God, so there shouldn't be any need for restoration. If there is, then that means that the LDS is saying God made a mistake. How could a perfect being make a mistake?
tkoch25 2 years ago
Because the Romans stole Christianity and transformed it to fit their purposes. They killed the apostles who were the only holders of the keys of the church. The Gospel was complete - but it was molded by man - that's what made it imperfect. It was prophesied that God would restore the Gospel in the end times - and he did.
mruglyhands 2 years ago

You are all fooled. Paul warned about it....

Hebrew 7:11-22 (and beyond) explains that there was a need for another priesthood....
dukestirr34 2 years ago
