My local TV station tested Fast Brite - a headlight cleaning kit and found that it really does work as advertised. It is a quick cheap fix, but you may to use it several times if you do allot of driving
They never clear to like new quality. You are better off buying new ones or if money is a problem get used ones from a wrecked car that was always garaged and does not have this problem. Those civic light are under $140 each new.
I use a product called Flawless Wax. It's pretty good. All you have to do is spray it on, hand buff it (it takes some energy). Afterwards they look pretty clean. Although the product is sort of expensive, you can use it many times before it runs out.
My 9 year old car had early signs of losing clarity in the headlights. I used the Meguiar's headlight restoration kit and it worked. It came with a polisher for the drill and the cream. 2 rounds of polishing with good pressure on the drill for about 5 minutes each time was all they needed. It's not a heavy duty kit which was fine since the headlights weren't totally weathered but I see Meguiar's now has a heavy duty version of the kit too.
Do you people realize that CR is a business. They are promoting their business on YouTube. They want you to buy the magazine or online subscription so they can make a P-R-O-F-I-T.
Ditto on what other commenters have posted! What brands did you guys use and what were the individual results? C'mon Consumer Reports, you guys can do better than this!
@Steel86Curtain I'm sick of everyone bashing CR for these reviews. They're meant to entice you to buy their magazine so you get the full review, or at least subscribe to their website. The reviews they do aren't free for them to carry out, why do you expect you get the results for free? If you're really that cheap, go to a newsstand and read it there. Come on, people!

Just use the same product you would use to clean cut and polish your car paint apply let it dry and polish off.

@Steel86Curtain Any kit will work. The steps are basically the same. CR uses this channel to bate people to sub to their publications.
