  • I wish that picture was real :-)

and the mix too, good job :-)

  • brill'

  • Well done...... and we would have seen it happen if not for that prick and his gun....

  • fuck yoko ono

  • Excellent work! :)

  • John & Paul actually reunited?Wow maybe George & Ringo should'v reunited with them too,& they could'v also did a reunion concert singing all the good ol' songs like Love Me Do,Yellow Submerine & the others that would wonderful:)

  • Good job on the mix! To all - I highly recommend the new book out called Lennon by Tim Riley. It'll clear a lot of that anti Yoko sentiment for you as well. People do grow apart. Yoko was not to blame.

  • nice job

  • Though I was going to tune in to a load of crap but turns out I rather enjoyed it. Like rainbow says their voices were meant to be togther.

  • In the movie "Two Of Us" they are shown almost goin down , but Yoko(again) ruins everything!!

  • We tried to get them together in the 70s but, it didn't work.

  • greorge was the music guest on snl the night paul and john were watching at the dakota and almost went down to the studio to take loren michaels up on his goofey offer. to bad. it would have been FAB!

  • True, they knew each each other to a tee. My God, this is grand.

  • Very clever indeed. Well done! I like that J&P were mates enough after all the previous messiness to hang out and watch TV. Would have been pretty cool had they turned to the SNL studio.

  • paul's gotta hear this!

  • this is really good, thanks for doing this

  • Really a good job on this, like it a lot, and yeah, their voices sound so good together

  • brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Congratulations, great job

  • You graduated as Sound Mixer

  • I thought it was $1000.00, $200 each, then awhile later both George and Paul were on SNL, at different times, asking for the $1000.00 and Lorne said he had given it to the other, didn't they get any?

What was funny for me, is that they were playing old SNL's when I saw the offer, and the George episode, then the newer Paul episode, all back to back.. So I knew exactly what they were all talking about.

My husband thought I was cracked b/c I was laughing so hard, and he only saw the last episode

  • Yes more please

  • They would have harmonized.

  • Man I am totally blown away what you did here... floored... how hard was it....were they in the same key? I want you to do this MORE PLEASE!

  • great job on mixing this - love it!

  • I loved that SNL bit.

Lorne: "You divide it up any way you want. If you want to give less to Ringo, that's up to you—I'd rather not get involved."

    Classic!

  • Nice. Alternate universe music like the Jimi/beatles mashup. im sure in some universe it happened.

  • this is cool...can't hear Paulie too much but John was always the agressive one wasn't he?

  • Great job ^_^

  • Added to my favorites!

  • One word: Fab.

  • Good job on the mashup.

  • It's on SNL season 2 and it goes over the course of a few episodes, it's great and funny!

  • Wow thanks for making this! It really made me dream. One of my biggest dreams would've for sure been to see those two performing together in the 70's.

  • Well edited! Much thanks!

  • I'd read about that. They didn't go because they were tired I didn't know Michaels kept the gag going. I probably used to know, I may have even been watching and keeping up with it, back then, but my memory... anyway, if the offer was repeated, they should've done it some later time, when they weren't tired.

Paul and John both performed on Ringo's Rotogravure, and George sent in a song he wrote. Doesn't that qualify Rotogravure as a Beatle album, technically?

  • $3200 even in 1976 was an insultingly low amount to have two icons as big as them on the show.. They should of asked for $20.000 on principle, then give it to charity on the principle that they didn't need it but where big enough to ask for it !!!

  • @ferolcat2009 it was a joke guy, they got it, u didnt!

  • @ferolcat2009 the low amount offered by Lorne Michaels was what was funniest about the bit after being offered millions to play together again!

  • GREAT!!!! nice nice job..and the dream of many...

...now I remember the film "two of us" ... I just wanted everything had happened just that way

    Anyways...god knows...

  • "Everybody had a wet dream", this ones every Beatles' fans'.

  • @carrier3232 That's "I've got A Feeling", isn't it?

  • @carrier3232 I've Got A Feeling!

  • Even the picture looks great as they were taken around the same time period.

  • You almost had me on this one. Great job with the editing.

With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!

  • Very clever work. Me likes.

  • Very nice montage.

  • oh, my dream came true! :DD

  • the way you put this together is incredible i have to say

  • Wow! This is highly listenable! Thanks for mashing all this together!

  • They could reunite the living Beatles Paul, and Ringo and have Julian Lennon fill in for John and Eric Clapton for George. John and Julian have similar guitar styles and so do George and Eric. It wouldn't be original but it would be very close.

  • @mrdeersniper It wouldnt be the Beatles though. They couldve had Julian while George was still alive and they were all much younger! But that never happend. They couldve had John himself up to 1980.

  • @icabodcranium Right, but it'd be the next best thing.

  • @mrdeersniper "Let it Be"

  • @mrdeersniper George has a son that looks alot like him, and he plays the guitar, too.

But that wouldn't be The Beatles. I would love if they could just play 1 concert for a joke, but without calling themselves The Beatles ...

You see how bad is what Mike Love did to Beach Boys ...

  • Awesome work here! After the first 15 seconds, I couldn't make out any mixing done to this track, it was a whole new thing on its own!

    Thumbs up!

  • This is a fact, that whenever John worked with Paul or when George worked with John, Paul worked with Ringo the sound that they created together was simply the best, In my opinon the Beatles could've gone on at least another 20 years

  • nice work williamnilly sound very good

  • the hamburg recordings have an excellent version of the beatles doing this

  • Very creative... Hope you´ll be a great producer with good ideas. Congratulations!!!

  • As I recall George did actually show up in the beginning of one of the programs. He actually told Lorne Micheals that the money offered was "Kind of Chinzy" I remember that if anyone has that clip please post I always thought it was a very funny scene!

  • Good job, but it would have been nice to give Paul the lead on part.

  • The Picture Is Really Well Done!

  • So what you're saying is this post is a fraud...our mother must be very proud of you...

  • Great job.

  • /watch?v=keYe3b195Xc

    ...the "real" Beatles reunion.

  • If only was real..

  • Lennon/McCartney forever. They were so beautiful together.

  • i love what you did with the picture..it looks pretty real

  • Good work!

  • If only...

  • Well done. If only... *sigh*

  • Just a little dream isn't it?

  • Is that John with a Telecaster?!

  • In the late '70s the Beatles were presented with an offer of $100 million to reunite for a single half-hour performance. They, of course, turned it down.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Because they weren't the Beatles anymore. John and Paul fell into a legendary rivalry, George Harrison started about a quarter century of supreme music writing, and Ringo... said, "no, no, no, no"

  • To me the combined tracks sound better then the originals...more up beat, and those voices are great together...

  • their voices were meant to be together

  • Took a bit of time ( and insanity) for this one - but I enjoyed it , and that's what matters (to me...). thanks!

    -joel

  • i wish this was real!

  • Incredible job! Kudos - Perfectly done.

  • Awesome, just awesome, good piece of work.

  • Well done Bro...

  • This took a lot of work! It's fun, though. Nice job!

  • If only......... How cool would it have been if they had turned up?? Possibly would've been the first video on Youtube to have had over a Billion hits me thinks.......

  • Bloody creative piece of work! :-D

  • good job mate!! I just read about the offer on wikipedia and tried to find some footage straight away!

  • absolutely incredible job dude

    excellent

  • Excellent mash-up: perfectly balanced and sequenced. Its easily the most convincing of the "reunion" tracks I've heard on YouTube. I would have tried to push Paul's voice up a bit more in the mix, you don't really hear him as much as John's. Otherwise, it's so convincing that it's a little eriee...

  • @keng1970 Two of Us - a fiction movie about Paul meeting John in N.Y.C.

  • GREAT JOB...WOULDNT LIFE BE JUST THAT MUCH BETTER IF IT WERE REAL AND IT WAS TODAY..

  • Nice work!! :)

    Ram and Shine on,

    Joe.

  • Great Job on this one...Love you liner notes...I forgot about the L.M. offer to the Beatles about the reunion offer...Damn was that funny...I loved the fact how George Harrison continued the gag by showing up on SNL and asking for some money...Priceless!!!

Thanx for this awesome gem...Stay Gold

  • @LiveVideoAZ lol the Outsiders reference? on ur signature!! I didnt no George continued the gag XD

  • What a neat idea! I love it.

  • we wish this was real..lol

  • Wow. Very convincing.

  • Well done!

  • Great stuff!!!!!!!!! Good job!!!!

  • Good Job

  • Nicely done!

  • Who didnt like this?? It's a good job!

  • Wow nice job. I just closed my eyes, listened and imagined how great it would have been!

  • This is a really good mash-up and just as inventive as the mash-up by YouTuber Scarperguy. John and Paul's voices are synchronized beautifully and the instrumentation is first rate. The result is probably as close to what the Beatles actually sounded like during their live performances in Hamburg, Germany and at the Cavern. I know John and Paul have done other songs APART. I'd love to hear your mash-up renditions of them. Even the Beatles can be improved upon. Regards, Hilts (Ohio, USA)

  • @coolhilts Thanks! Other attempts have been made but I might give my own interpretation on a few. Stay tuned!

  • they never again performed together. rather sad.

  • This is awesome! You should do more of these!

  • The only shortcoming is at the end-- the SNL audience (though small) would have gone wild, wild, wild because "we were THERE when it happened, man!"

They woulda gone pretty wild at the beginning too.

Even though it was only a few years after the breakup.

  • LOL

  • well done! i thought this was a real perforemnace till read below

  • Ha Ha! excellent job.

  • wow, really good job.... it actually matched up beautifully and def. a great selection would not have imagined they would have done a beatles song either... if only this did happen, too bad it didnt.
