@apinafilms I dunno about that. I for one would like to see Capcom take it up a notch similar to how Retro Studios ramped up the difficulty in DKCR.

X2 was hard just because of Serges, X3 was hard because of final Sigma. X4, not that bad. X5, I could never seem to beat Wily Zero because of that damn full-screen OHKO of his. First Sigma fortress in X6 is just ridiculous. Seriously? Starting the level off with a spike wall that I for one could not figure out how to scale as X?

I tested myself on this "hard" run. I beat all bosses but penguin, my personal challenge was to beat every boss without the boots. I must say, Spark Man drill his hell without a dash, and so is Storm Eagle's tornado.

There are no difficulties I said hard run (in quotes) BECAUSE I'm purposefully going out of order fighting the bosses, with no upgrades either, that's why I haven't finished Penguin's stage. My run is just sorta..stuck now :/ Every boss beaten but Penguin, no upgrades, not even the boots, and I'm not going to get them (and thus, not beat him).

I'm just wondering: why is it that in almost every single megaman game, the boss that uses ice-based attacks are always the easiest? In X1 you have chill penguin. In X3 you have blizzard buffalo. In X4 you have frost walrus. In MM6 you have blizzard man. And for all of those, it's the first stage you do since it's the easiest. What's up with that? Is there some kind of Capcom relationship between "cold" and "weak"?

I think in X9 they should make the hardest boss in the game use ice attacks.

Nah, for me IMO I found Web Spider a major pain in the ass, one of the hardest in the game. His webs are very hard to dodge, and using his weakness weapon does not make the battle much easier.

That sounds less stressful than my method... which is keep going at it for hours until victory reachs your hand.....you should have seen me try to beat Sigma in Megaman X5 2 years ago with Zero; no life upgrades, no weapon upgrades, and no using his weakness against him.... 5 hours is what it took and after that I was lying on the ground with bloodshot eyes laughing like a blood-thirsty maniac with joy.... My little brother said that he was scared.
