Wenn ich so nachdenk...Drew ist eigentlich perfeckt für diese Rolle...Thomas B. zwar auch aber er...keine Ahnung (nicht das ich wieder was falsches sage und die Thomas B. fans machen tausend schlechte bewertungen bei meinem kommi..ich mag thomas ja auch xDD) aber Drew ist halt jünger und ich finde, er passt viel besser zur Rolle..auch seine Stimme..Da liegt auch etwas Agression und..Ergreifung drinn..

@alexmz123 That's just a very rare demo. You're lucky to have it, but no, there isn't any official English cast recording. The only official recording is the Graz one with Thomas Borchert. It's very good though,and has a bunch of numbers in it that weren;t in the English version...

@piedii I dunno...I really really like Thomas. Drew just scares the beejeebers outta me, physically. He's too...pointy? Just his sharp features combined with fangy teeth is kinda unsettling. I know it's probably the point, but I feel more drawn to Thomas. He's a more sure Dracula. Knows what he can do and what he wants, and how to get it. Maybe it's a bit cold at times, but I do like it. I think I'll watch more Drew to get a better handle on his portrayal. It's definitely interesting...

Can anyone explain to me why the Broadway version of this musical was set in the Victorian times, late 19th century, but this seems to be set in the early-middle 20th century? It looks good either way, I'm just curios.

I have no clue. I think this particular production was supposed to be set in the 1950s. I'm not sure why they thought that would be a good idea but I guess it works. lol

I guess, a really good story is timeless, but in relation to all classic dracula-novels dracula lived in the 19th century. there are some posts here for this song who blame the production for putting the story in somewhere arround 1930-1950. I haven't seen the whole production actually, but for what I have seen, it didn't look that bad

Yes, this one is from St. Gallen, and the more known one is from Graz. There also exists a CD from the cast of Graz. But acutally I prefer the translation from St. Gallen... pity they had to change the lyrics again...

this is by far the most beuatiful love-song EVER. I watch this pretty much every day and still I have tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my arms. Drew Sarich's "KEHR UM, lass mich dich lieben" is so full of passion and pleading and love.... He is the one true Dracula for this musical. AMAZING! 10 of 10 points.
